While visiting Old Colorado City in Colorado, I came upon this interesting knitted item. It was next to a park where a blues band was playing. I can only come up with a description of "fence cozy". Someone thought the fence looked cold I guess. It seemed to actually be knitted or crocheted directly on to the post. I just thought I'd share, I found it amusing and whimsical. My family kept trying to drag me away while I was trying to photograph it, so the pic isn't perfect, but in this case, it's the idea that counts. I'd love to know the story behind it, lol.

It could be a Knitta tag although theirs are usually zip-tied onto the pole, fence or whatever.

Thanks Taramor! I gotta be me, lol. Seriously, this is still the only yarn bomb I've ever seen in the wild. I had heard of "seed bombs" where people completely load a ball of mulch with flower seeds and lob them over fences or into vacant lots. In my mind, a perfect world would be grafitti-ed, yarn and seed bombed, lol. Grin
