CAUTION!! Crazy cat lady approaching!!

After lots of frogging, swearing and strange yoga type positions, I have finally completed these crocheted socks for my friend's birthday.

The yarn is a lovely (mucho expensive!!) variegated yarn, but it's so thin! It started off as knitted socks, but it was so thin, it was going to take me for ages to complete, so I caved and crocheted.

I made the pattern up as I went along, but am happy to try and post up if anyone wants?

When on, these socks are almost quite holey (like those socks that you wear at first school - we called them 'virgin socks'  Cheesy, but I don't know their real name!).

This is just what I was wanting, as my friend is one of those people that are forever kicking their socks off and moaning that their feet are cold, so hopefully these may help her out.

Thanx for looking!

lol thanx - they very nearly weren't! It was the thought of knitting with that stuff that spurred me on!

Wow those came out so nice, I'd love to attempt them Cheesy.  I made slipper socks last winter with 3 strands of red heart.  They came out pretty nice but the heel was rather uncomfortable to walk on. Those socks you made look so comfy! I hope your friend likes them. I also am always complaining about how cold my feet are yet I never put on socks.  I just make my boyfriend sit on my feet lol.

These are fabulous! I invent patterns, but a sock pattern? That sounds difficult. Your friend is going to love these!
