So, it's been a long time since I've posted here, but it doesn't mean I haven't been crafting or looking around.  Months later, I finally got around to uploading pictures of one of my favorite projects!

A friend of mine was going to see Spiderman on Broadway back in November.  She called me around August asking if I would sew here a dress since she had "No Formal Spiderman Clothes". (Granted, I'm not sure how many people can say they do have formal Spiderman Clothes)

Here is what I created with the help of some sheets, New Look 6557, and a few mimosas.  (My payment for creating the dress for her.)

Front View:

Back View: (She cracked up that it happened to say "Spidey Sense" on her butt)

Inside Detail:

And of course, action shot! (Another condition for making the dress for her!)

Apparently she was quite the hit.  She got random high fives on the street and had several people ask to take her pictures.  I will admit, I was so glad I could help her have a great evening.

Thank you so much for looking!

That is awesome! Great job ~

I second this!
I love Spiderman since I was a little girl. He and He-Man are my favourite superheroes. Haha.
This goes straight on my Wists.

What a fun dress!  She radiates happiness in that dress! You did a wonderful job for a friend. I love how you kept the web detail in the bodice...nice work.

You are officially a professional dress maker - really, really nice job on this - and a so professional finished product!   Cheesy

Thank you so much everyone.  My friend has been a huge fan of Spiderman for as long as I've known her.  My only regret with this dress was trying to hem the slip under the dress.  Embarrassed  Thankfully no one really sees it, but I know it's there.

alwaysinmyroom - I'm so glad you noticed the bodice work.  That actually was my intent when I was sewing the dress!

Love it! Before my husband and I split we had plans to go see Spider-man. I too was going to make a dress just for it, lol. I love what you came up with!
