I've never had a lot of luck starting things from seeds. I live in a very small apartment and our water tends to kill plants. I always keep trying though, and this year, I had some very unexpected luck.

They are almost 3 feet tall. I didn't know that was even possible! There are some smaller ones among the three giant ones. The small ones have pretty rust colored flowers, but I don't know what the tall ones will produce yet. I'll update as soon as they blossom.

Here's how the flower looked once it opened. It was really pretty, and very clearly a Marigold. Smiley

I'm sure they are. All the seeds I planted looked exactly the same, but I swear, they looked more like cherry tomato plants for a while. They have buds, so I can't wait to see the flowers.

Well you will either have really nice flowers, or really yummy tomatoes!

Yes they are marigolds.  I had some of them one year in a townhouse.  They were the most awful things.  They grew so big and covered the walk, I had planted them on either side of the walk way.  And the stupid things kept coming back year after year.  We finally had to move to get away from the.  LOL   Roll Eyes
