Bit too tattered for my tastes. It's what I'd imagine pinhead would look like after being dragged through a thrift shop backwards. Undecided

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

And Pjhamel, you're just too awesome!

I am totally looking forward to this =) I wonder where that bunny fur went.... That aviator pattern looks like it'd be killer with some bunny fur lining.

Heeeeeey, ya, I was thinking about what I could do with those 8 bunny pelts I got at an auction for $6 each (squeeee!). I was thinking about trimming something with fur if my partner is ok with former-animals on her body Tongue

I just went digging around in my craft room (eGADS, it's like a dragon's treasure cave in here!!!) and holy camoley, I have a lot more mats for this swap than I'd thought!

I really should have a go at curing rabbit pelts, I get enough of them. I don't have a problem with wearing animals, just the rearing of them purely to wear. Makeing use of as much of your food kills as possible is a valuable post-apocalyptic skill. Wink

I wear leather boots, so I can't see a problem with rabbit fur without being a hypocrite lol
Seriously though, I'm fine with it. If I'm happy to eat it, I have nothing against the skin as clothing.

If you find any, let me know. I'm working on a trial run for writing one of my own atm. If you are lucky I'll be finished it early enough to put it on Ravelry and share it with you Wink

someone else can eat the rabbit, squirrel, whatever.  not sure if I'd like the taste from what I've heard (if it came down to it and I had to, then yeah, I'd probably eat it.  but since I have a choice, I'll pass for now).  but I'll wear it.  like you said Aether, it's the rearing for fashion that's sick.

I agree that minimal waste is a very valuable survival tool! I'd love to tan me a hide, too, right after eating the delicious animal it came from Cheesy I had a deer fawn pelt, 2 big pike skins and a window-fatality goldfinch in my garage freezer until the boyfriend unplugged it to plug in a tool and forgot to re-plug it... Did I really say plug that many times? Tongue Either way, I'm glad he manned-up and cleaned it out himself, because it STANK in there! The worst part is, I only recently got a bottle of tanning agent because commercially-available brains are hard to find now. Remember the good old days when you could walk into a grocery store and BAM! cow brains, right there?

Most butchers get the brains. They just don't sell them. I was able to talk a local area butcher into giving me a cow brain and a heart for a presentation back when I was in high school.

It thought this fit perfectly with this swap: it's a bracelet that turns into a rope! http://www.themarysue.com/rope-bracelet/
