I'm enjoying sewing for my 9 month old grandson and other babies we know of a similar age.  I love how easy it is to dress up a plain inexpensive onesie with appliques, don't you?  (This is the rear view of the pants which have contrasting fabric in the butt panel.  The onesie has the applique on the front though.)

I posted a pic of these owl pants last week, but have now made a onesie to match.  (Of course the owl is on the behind of the pants and on the front of the onesie.  I just photographed them together here.)

And these are another pair of monster pants for a little boy, friend of my DD's.  I'm still waiting for the Mom to get back to me with his waist measurements so that I can put the elastic in the waistband.

Oh, I love the first one!

They are all pretty cute but I just love bold colors on little kids and the fish fabric is just perfect!

I was trying to start a boy clothes sewalong to share projects, ideas and inspiration.

You have a great eye for color, pattern, and non-"traditional" little boy clothes.

When you applique your onesies, do you use a stablizer?  Does it make the onesie scratchy on the inside?  I've never used a stabilizer but I think the results are so nice!!

These are all so cute - I like those monster pants - I agree with others here - you have a definite knack for knowing how to put fabrics together and your sewing skills are remarkable.  You did such a nice job.

And yes, I agree with you about the appliques! I recently did my first appliques here on Craftster! They are fun to do.

I will be waiting to see what you come up with for later fall and cooler weather.   Smiley

Gorgeous.  My little guy is almost 5 months, and I am about to start sewing for him.  Matching pants and shirts will be so cute.
Thanks for sharing

Love the little pants! Did you use a pattern for those or create your own? I have been eyeballing the big butt pants on Made by Rae. (especially since my son is cloth diapered, so the extra room would be nice especially for pjs)
