This is my very first post. I hope I'm in the right place and doing this properly, lol. My sister told me to post my latest creation on this site. I'm a little confused by the site so let me know if this is right, lol.

This is my Renaissance costume for this year. I needed something that would allow room for my pregnant belly but also look nice if I wanted to wear it again afterwords. The red silk and velvet were given to me by my Mother in law who used to craft, but didn't need it anymore.

This was all done without a pattern. I looked online for pictures of dresses I liked and made sketches incorporating those ideas. This was also my first time using eyelets, it took me a few minutes to figure out a way that worked for me, lol. I also made the black chemise under it and am thinking about making something for my hair as well to go with it. I'm pretty proud of the outcome, and can't wait to show it off at the Ren Fest.
