i received my newest tiny friend today from camelama!  i'm trying to post quickly and quietly while my little man is napping on the couch, so shhhh!

here he is, fresh from seattle . . .

oh, yes, that's right - he's a day of the dead bunny!  growing up 'bunny' is all my dad ever called me (something to do with a rather embarrassing pair of cotton tailed footy pajamas), so bunnies have been my "thing" for some time.  and oh, how i have longed for a sugar skull bunny!

back side

beauty shot

we had some errands to run, so he came along.  see how nicely he fits in one of the cell phone pockets of my purse (made by jamier79, fyi).  it was a glorious 75 degree day here in st. louis, and he mentioned that he finds it far more pleasant here than in seattle.  just sayin'.

we had a discussion about his name.  he wanted to be unique, but honor his heritage, so it was quickly decided that he would be named melangell after the patron saint of rabbits.  he says he'll go by mel Wink

thanks so much camelama!  i'm going to make him a nice home here.

Hi all!
I received the most awesome package from suereal yesterday!  Let me just say, I believe she came up with a new nickname for her self, Susi Spoiler!  LOL!

Awesome Monster Guy...

Oh wait, he's a FLASH DRIVE!  How cool!  And it's already loaded with patterns and tutorials of all sorts!

A muslin postcard

Yeah, see, on the front it tells all about how to put on an iron on or whatever you'd like and make fabric post cards!

Sweet extras like doll needles, skully thumbtacks, and one of those cool fortune teller fish

My most FAVORITE extra that she got at a rummage sale...  A VIKING TOTE BAG!!!

And drum roll please...  the coolest tiny stuffie ever made...

Isn't it just so awesome?

Please suereal, you need to give him his own thread, he's just too cool!

Thank you so much, Susi the Spoiler, I love everything so very much!!!  Cheesy

I'm so glad you like your bunny, Jo_mama!  I had a great time making him. My friend collects sugar skulls, so every stitch on him is a pattern from a number of vintage sugar skulls from Mexico. Smiley  <3

That flying monkey is so creepy it's cute.  And the day of the dead bunny is fantastic, wonderful stitching on it.

It's amazing what this group can do with tiny stuffies!
