Hello Everyone! This is my first (sucessful) DIY and want to know what you think.. I have been inspired by many of the DIY tutorials on craftster and so I made this halter top out of a very short skirt! I do think that I may put some ruffles or lace around the edges to make it look really girly girly though..

Sorry, I don't have a "before" picture of the skirt!

How did you do that?  I have a skirt that I'd like to try that with.

Actually jenthezero I have this pleather top that (along with you guys of course) inspired me to try my hand at making a top. Also, I just got this catalog from Delias and they have the cutest summer tops which also got the ol' wheels turning in my head! ;D

However, I wanted to make it a halter type top and the bottom to come down in a point to cover my belly area as I have the "had a baby 5 months ago pooch!"  ;)

I just kind of cut the skirt (what little there was of it) into an upside down triangle and worked from there. I used remnants left from the skirt to make the straps.

Click here to see the top without me wearing it:
