So these rainbow cakes are all over Pinterest, and when I first saw it, I knew I wanted to try it.
I am not much of a baker, but I have been in the mood to try new things lately. So here ya go.
I took pictures of just about every step, so it is somewhat of a picture tutorial I guess.
And all these colors remind me of Care Bears!
Start with the essentials. I went with the 4 egg white option.
Ohh, pre-heat your oven!

Add eggs, oil, and water.

Mix it all together.

Separate into as many bowls as you will have colors. I mixed red and blue for purple!

Add food coloring.

Mix them all together. Something to think about-- use different utensils for mixing.
I wasted a bit wiping the knife I used going from color to color. I know, I'm silly!

Randomly add the colors to your cake pan. I wish I had a fancy round one!

I think it looks like the food from 'HOOK' the Robin Williams movie of the Peter Pan story.
The part where they were teaching him how to use his imagination at dinner time, and
they end up having a food fight!

A shot from the oven!

Hot from the oven!

I forgot to grease the dish (told you I am not much for baking) so instead of tearing
it to pieces getting it out, I just frosted it in the dish. Look at those colors!

My dirty dishes have never been so happy and colorful!
