I claim sweetyetevil for make-up bags and a crayon roll for a boy.
This is my second claim.
(2/0/0) (one going in the mail today though!)
Hi all! I'm Mary Ann and live in Portland, OR, USA. I celebrate Christmas and have a couple of hard-to-give-to people on my list. I have 3 nephews and they are typical boys--they love dinosaurs, tv, video games, superheroes, pirates, and trucks.
Anything I didn't list that you think might be good for one of my loved ones is appreciated! I'll try to add some stuff to my Pinterest.
Mom--She's the hardest one for gifts!
*She does like Southwest stuff (cactus, Kokipelli, adobe houses, pots) and wall art is always a good bet.
*She's an office manager, so maybe something to help keep her desk organized or to pretty it up? Smaller is better probably. She likes the color orange and those babies in flowers (Anne Geddes?).
*We travel as much as we can, so anything travel related is cool (travel accessories, or just something travel-ish that sounds fun)
*Table runner for a medium/small oval table (I can measure). Holiday related or good for year round.
*New valance for our living room or dining room. The Living room window is extremely large, the dining room one is normal sized. I can measure. Currently our entire house is dark green (carpets, tile, valances, most former decorations). We are wanting to change some stuff up, so other colors would be good (although if it still complements green, since we won't be re-doing the carpet or tile anytime soon)
*Some kind of centerpiece for the dining room table, holiday or year round themed. I have a cute rectangle clear glass vase I like but nothing clever to put in it. I'm the housecleaner and if I kept the dining table pretty, possibly I would keep it less cluttered, which would make mom super happy.
*Something referencing her 3 grandsons...silhoue
ttes of 3 boys or something?
--No allergies
Brother (Joel)--He's really difficult too. He likes camping and his new dirt bike.
*Something for camping or fishing? Fishing lures?
*A winter hat in dark/manly colors
--No allergies
SIL (Sandora)--She's super girly and loves pink. She has 3 boys so she needs some girly stuff to surround herself with. She loves to color (in coloring books) and really appreciates those that are printed on nice paper. She loves coconut and pina colada anything and also toffee.
*Roll up cases (like for knitting needles) to hold her crayons, markers, and colored pencils. She has some large ones but some smaller ones for on the go would be good.
* Since her name is unusual, something with her name is fun! Sandora
*Anything red to decorate her kitchen (potholders, towels, dish clothswall art,) would be great.
*Reusable non-paper "paper towels"
*Any kind of wall art
*She's always cold, so a cuddly
soft scarf
, mittens, blanket, shawl would be great (
Thank you Miss Barbara for scarf and arm warmers!)
*She loves Christmas decorations and could always use more ornaments, especially kinds that won't get destroyed with 3 boys and a new puppy.
*She likes to bake, so some kind of baking kit or cookie cutters or something like that.
*Anything a mom of 3 boys might like to pamper herself!
*She does like little cute things that sit on a shelf, she has two bookcases from Ikea and the upper shelves hold her breakable treasures. She likes fairies and other fun girly stuff.
--No allergies
Dad--He's getting old and he's not picky
*Picture frames are good, he's always wanting pictures of his kids/grandkids
*Anything for his house, he lives alone in a small apartment without much. Mugs or something?
*Reusable bags that are strong, he rides the bus and is always needing more bags to carry groceries, etc. A really plain or manly fabric would be good.
*If you make jam or anything edible he'll love it
*A winter hat (or two) would be good. He loses stuff so don't spend too much time on it! Grin
*Maybe a Bible cover? It doesn't matter what size, he probably has a Bible to fit it, or if he doesn't one of his favorite things is buying "new" ones at thrift shops. If it had a holder for his glasses that would be awesome.
--No allergies
Boyfriend (Matt)--He's a computer nerd and really into board games (we both are, but the good ones, European mostly).
*T-shirt (size L or XL if it runs small) with a fun quote relating to tv shows he likes, Starcraft, or board games that we play. I can supply some board game quotes.
*Something embroidered/quilted/whatever to hang on the wall featuring the Terran symbol from the game Starcraft/Starcraft 2.
*His apartment is pretty stark, so anything nerdy to decorate it is good (wall art, pillowcases for regular sized pillows). Any quote from Futurama or Arrested Development works.
*He loves hot sauce and does cook, so spices or anything like that works. He likes tea. A decorated mug would be nice.
*A winter hat. I made him one last year that he loved but he lost it. So don't put too much time into it Grin
--No allergies
Best Friend (Erin--She's a runner and also is cold a lot of the time. She loves blues and purples in the lavender/periwinkle range, as well as deep jewel blues and purples.)
*Purple/blue scarf. She doesn't wear hats.
*I'm making her a lap quilt (purples and blues), so a throw pillow (even just the cover) to go with it would be fun!
--No allergies
Good friend's first baby (Joshua)--He just turned 5 months and it would be fun to have some Christmas stuff for him. He's chunky, so I imagine by Christmas 12 mo clothes would be good.
Boyfriend's parents (Joan and Lewis...actually not sure how he spells that)--they are older but pretty active. Joan has a fun little garden and is really sweet. She is diabetic, so sugar free stuff is good. Lewis likes card games. They are pretty "green"
*Teas, spices, hot sauce, anything kitchen-y like that.
*Their house is pretty full/cluttered, so something more useful than decorative would be good.
Boyfriends Nephews and Niece--he has two nephews (9 and 2) and once niece (7)
*Small things that kids might like. Educational would probably be good, their parents are really into organic/natural stuff.
*They like games
My Nephews (Dane, 7 1/2, Aidan 6, Tristan 3 1/2)
*They love superheroes, especially Spiderman, Batman, and the Incredible Hulk (or as they call him "Hulk Smash")
*They adore anything they can hang on their walls, so posters, artwork, etc. If you ever find any little pull out posters in magazines or little ones they give away at movie theaters those are great to throw in!
*Organizational things, like belts they can hang toys on, or containers to put their cars, toys, small treasures in
*Dress up stuff, especially capes/belts/hats and superhero, ninja, or pirate wear.
*Winter hats/scarves/mittens in boyish colors. Blue is always a winner.
*They love clothes. They fit into pretty standard size clothing for their ages, except Dane is tall and thin for his age (pants are always too short and fall down on him) and Tristan is tall for his age. T-shirts would be fabulous, Sevsonlygirl made some for them several years ago and the little guy is still wearing them all.
*For some reason they love headbands (like sweat bands). I think they think they are karate masters or something when they wear them. Decorated ones would probably put them over the top.
*Decorated, standard size pillow cases would be wonderful, they would love those!
Dane--He's the video game prince, he loves Sonic and Mario
Aidan--He's my crafty boy, loves notepads, activity pads, games, but most especially puzzles. He'll sit and do the same puzzle over and over for hours
Tristan--He still likes cuddly things, but he's always trying to keep up with the big boys. He really likes Ponyo and some awful Dragon show that I'm trying to remember the name to. Dragon Tales? New things are great for him because he gets so many-hand me-downs.
Nephews' new puppy (Lola)
* Puppy treats or toys!
* A blanket just for her

I claim hautedogclothing for a "make it work" t-shirt for her grandma.
Send by 9/22
(1,1,3)
Outstanding claims
Helena Puck: a penguin ami
- RECEIVED!
Miss Barbara: small gifts for teachers and friends
-Received!
MissingWillow: Japanese themed t-shirt
hautedogclothing: Tim Gunn t-shirt
I'm TroubleT! I live in the Atlanta, GA area with my wonderful husband and 2 kidlets. I'm a high school Spanish teacher (of 21 yrs....EEP!) and love my job! We do not have any major allergies in the house other than my honey allergy so don't send me any granola or pour it over my package please.
General décor and paper items
~holiday bunting w/ Christmas trees, snowflakes, ornaments, whatever as long as it's not religious - I have one normal size door that leads out of the living room to the kitchen, one wide doorway (think a door and a half in size) leading to the dining room, both of which have no doors and they need to be jazzed up!
~Holiday greeting cards – Non religious please! Preferably humorous
~Handmade ornaments - We love silly, quirky ornaments!!
Thank you cinnamon teal! ...more of these would be wonderful though!
~Gift tags done in white, red or green. Simple is preferable.
Thank you cinnamon teal!
~Snowmen stuffies! I decorate our house with these and I add a new one or two to my collection every year! A handmade one would be super special.
~
Angry Birds Christmas ornaments
! I only need 3 in different colors for our annual family ornaments.
THANK YOU kaz!
~Some way to display Holiday cards like a
hanging ribbon
OR a
clothes pin wreath
Husband
- Computer programmer by day, awesome husband by night. He loves Fierros, cooking on the grill (think Texas style BBQ), and his dog Malia. No Allergies
~More artwork for his office – He’s a computer programmer and is not at all into Fanfic or Gaming. He already has CTRL-ALT-DLT, Binary Man (done in X stitch) and STFU. Both worked in hoops and framed. Maybe something like
math humor
or
caffeine molecule
or
geeky beer humor
A MAJOR HINT
was given to me this past weekend when he saw the
paper airplane hoop
(super easy stitching!) that I made for the Ongoing Hoopla.
He loved it!
PM me if you are interested in doing this one because I have a cool idea that I would never be able to pull off myself because he can be super nosey. Hehehe...
~a remote control organizer for his recliner (It’s a medium brown with darker brown flecks) – Like this but without the magazine pocket -
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fabric-Chair-Tv-Remote-Control-Holder-Organizer-Caddy-/200407666078
…maybe done in a forest green or black
Son
- 10 yrs old, very creative, loves to draw, heavy reader
, loves Lego video games. No Allergies
~a decorated box for his art supplies - outer space, legos or Star Wars themed - I'm getting him some really nice colored pencils and maybe a set of pastels this year.
~a magnetic board (cookie sheet style or something similar) in an Outer Space theme appropriate for a 10 yr old boy (no cutesy aliens please!) maybe made with glow in the dark paint?
~Lego Indiana Jones or Star Wars wall art for his room (walls are sky blue) – Painted or papercraft pieced
~ A figurine or stuffy of a Greek mythological beast for his Holiday Book Box - He loved the Hydra and the Minotaur in the first PJ movie.
~Bookmarks! He loves his books and won’t dog ear pages (YAY!) so he’d like some handmade book marks, especially if it had his name on it.
~sweater mittens in either a medium blue or red (I can send you a tracing of his hand for this!)
Daughter
- 5 yrs old going on DIVA!, loves all things pink, sparkly and princessy. No Allergies
~a magnetic board in princess girlie theme (cookie sheet style or something similar) – Go completely Girlie, Sparklie, Pink over the top Princess with this! She would LOVE it!
~sweater mittens in either pink or purple (Hand tracing can be provided!)
~a scoodie in either pink or purple, crocheted or sewn
~a princess plushie - I do a holiday themed book box every year and she is really into all things Princessy so her theme will be just that.
~Girlie Bubble bath! Light floral or fruit scent, maybe a spa kit appropriate for a little girl
~any appropriately girlie small hoopla (6" or smaller) for her hoopla wall - She already has a bunny, Pooh bear, her name and a butterfly.
My Mom
- Sorry no likes, hobbies, or interesting facts for this one. No Allergies
~crocheted dish clothes in cream, brown or yellow OR a pair of crocheted hanging dish towels
-
Thank you craftaddiction and Miss Barbara!
~pieced pillow covers OR a lapghan since she was a bit jealous of dad's blanket last year
~simple, elegant earrings (Fish Hook please, no posts!) - she loves reds, blues, silver and black
My Dad
– A proud veteran of the Korean war and very actively volunteers with the VA in helping vets get the medical care/funds that they deserve. No Allergies
~ a framed art piece (any medium as long as the design is clean, not cluttered) of a Purple Heart (He received 2 during his years of service.) OR an appropriate Veteran’s Day saying like REMEMBER with an American flag. Sayings can be found at
http://www.quotegarden.com/veterans-day.html
~a jar of preserves – He eats buttered toast with jelly or preserves every morning at breakfast. His favorites are apple butter and peach preserves.
ME!
- Check out my profile and "So You Want to Swap?" page on my blog for TONS of info on me.
I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO HONEY!
~sleep shirts - knee length in a size large, I'd prefer either cotton or flannel, a basic pattern with some sort of sleeve is perfect for me. (Please no cap sleeves. I look horrible in those.)
~an altered zippered hoodie with either a simple Buddha design or an Ohm (*MAJOR WISH* for this gift!)
~ a simple, large tote with sturdy handles for my karate gear. I stuff mine with my feet and hand protection, my belt and any broken boards in my bag and have come to realize that the one I have is just way too small. It would be great if there was a zippered pocket for my keys or maybe an attached zipper pouch of some sort.
~ bath treats like bath bombs, wash clothes, bubble bath, or soap. My favorite scents are eucamint, jasmine and rosemary with tea tree. Please no vanilla or rose scents!
~a memory board to hang over my craft table to help me keep up with important papers and crafty notes, preferably in "nature" colors like browns, forest green and cream.
Misc. Gifts
~Small Teacher gifts – My kids have a total of 5 teachers when you include their after school program. We’re fortunate this year in that they are all totally awesome! I’m totally OK with them all being the same.
~Small gifts for our 3 karate instructors. My kids and I all take karate and our instructors have the patience of Jobe.
For my kitteh furchild
~A
Kitty Pi!
~catnip filled toys

I claim hautedogclothing for llama hat
6th claim / 2rd outstanding claim/ 1 in transit / 3 received
We have 2 main “groups” we give Christmas gifts to (other than immediate family). I could use help with this year. I have no clue what to get them, so you could make anything you wanted. The only thing you should keep in mind that most are couples and most are senior aged. I made a board on
pintrest
with some ideas. They are just to give you ideas; you don’t need to make something on the board if you have a different idea.
-
Tiny gift(s)
The “tiny” ones are people around town. Usually I pick up all 8-10 of them for around $20 (just to give you an idea on value). This is like the mail man and the trash guy. It is okay if they are really tiny. I am going to leave them on my list and make little goodies bags. Maybe ornaments, coasters, snack bags, cooking mixes, magnets, alerted notebooks, bookmarks…. I love the
mini pie in a jar
idea (though we probably have to avoid food items until we get closer to Christmas). Really, anything you can think of. I am horrible at coming up with ideas. You don’t need to claim all 8. Just claim how ever many you want to meet the swap requirements, or “mix-and-match” with other things on my list.
-
Small gift(s)
Usually we spend around $10-$20 each on these. We will send 5 of these this year. I don’t actually know any of these people, as they are distance relatives of my boyfriend’s or his ex (he got along well with her family well, and likes to send them something small). 2 are couples, 3 are single (2 women, 1 man). All are seniors or near it, with no kids in the house. One of the single women is diabetic. If you like things more spelled out, here it is:
Small gift A
Our Neighbors. Married couple. In their 60’s. He is in a wheel chair.
Small gift B
Male, Single. In his 50’s In a band. Loves anything related to music and comics. Likes old 30’s and 40’s cars.
Small gift C
Female, single. 95 year old. Diabetic. Partial disabled (age). Likes anything related to where she was born, South Dakota (you don’t have to use that). Lives in Southern California in a nursing home.
Small gift D
Female, single. 55 years old.
Small gift E
Bf’s ex-parent-in-laws. Married. In their 70’s (or so). He is a retired fireman.
Ceramic Tile Coasters
would be great for any of the “small” or “tiny” gifts. Any theme/color.
Thanks Helena Puck
. I could use more.
My boyfriend’s Grandkids
Perhaps someone likes making gifts for kids? You could make anything you would like.
My boyfriend has 4 kids (all grown). 2 are married with kids. One has 1 boy (age 6) and 1 girl (age 2). The other has 2 boys (ages 6 and 1). We could use some gifts for the grandkids (don’t worry about the “kids”, they like cash
)
Maybe marshmallow shooters for the 2 eldest?
Thanks missmlissa
Any soft toy would work for the baby
My Parents
My dad is disabled. Some days he is in so much pain he can’t leave his bed. Other days are better. His favorite things are going to breakfast and his dog Rosita. Rosita is great for him. When he has bad days she will lay next to him all day. Other days, she is great at getting him out of the house. She loves playing ball and car rides. So a great day for dad is taking Rosita to sonic for breakfast. She is like his child. He used to have pictures of me all over his computer and phone. They have since been replaced with pictures of her
He spends a lot of time reading (especially when he can’t get out of bed). He reads suspense and crime novels and can read a book or 2 a night. He is trying to get more active (when he can), so he swims at the community pool and has started playing pickleball. He pretty much likes any colors (well, he won’t wear pink) and anything. He isn’t picky. He has no allergies but he is diabetic.
Mom is allergic to wool (it is fine if dad gets something with wool in it, she has to be close to notice it, like a blanket or a scarf). Her favorite color is blue. There isn’t any color she dislikes. She also loves Rosita, but her “baby” is her dog Maxie (a boy). She spends most of the time working. She works full time and is taking some classes online. She started sewing a few months ago and loves it. She tries to spend every minute she can find sewing (sadly there isn’t enough minutes most days). She is a natural at it. She never had a hobby before, so I think this is good from her.
-
Large “lunch” bag
My mom takes her breakfast, lunch and whatever else she will need for the day in a plastic grocery bag. Maybe someone has a better idea for a reusable bag?
Thanks kaz814!
-
Detroit Lions Vest
I would love a Lions vest for my dad. He wears a 3xl. If you have an idea or something else Detroit Lions themed, that would be great too. It shouldn’t take too much fabric, as it doesn’t need arms.
-
Anything Detroit Lions themed
for my dad.
-
3x Shirts for Dad
Doesn’t matter if they are sewn, stenciled, painted or anything else. He likes shirts. Any type or style. I haven’t seen a shirt he doesn’t like. Shirts in his size are expensive and they don’t have much money so he usually gets his shirts from the bargain rack from walmart (when he can find them, which isn’t often). It is always the shirts no one else would wear and he loves them. He has an unusual sense of humor. His favorite was just a basic shirt that said “I am Hip Hop” he found for $3. He loved that shirt. Actually, he wore it out, so that might be an idea
If you want themes, some would be: Detroit lions, the zia symbol, Bob Marley, his dog, humorous sayings. Don’t feel you need to go by those themes. He would love anything! Those are just what I could think of. Don’t let them limit you.
TroubleT has wonderfully claimed me for a stenciled shirt. He can always use more
-
Slippers
For my dad. He wears a 9 ½ in US men’s. Any style. He could really use them. He can’t feel his feet so sometimes he steps on things around the house (like goat heads) without realizing it. Even a thin barrier would make a big difference.
-
Stickers With “Bob V.” on them
For my dad. He puts them on his diabetic tracking sheets. I think it is his way to make a negative thing a bit more fun. And it makes the nurses smile. They should have some sort of picture (sponge bob?) and “Bob V”. They could be done completely by hand. Or this would be good for someone with some computer skills and Avery type labels.
Thanks MareMare
-
Stenciled/etched wine glasses
They get their wine glasses from the dollar store. They work fine but are a bit plain. So maybe some can make glasses with a design on them?
-
Stenciled/etched beer glasses
-
Homemade Soap
Dad loves homemade soap. He first got hooked when they got a bar of lavender goat milk soap. Since then he has tried many different types of soap (like olive oil ones) and has likes them all.
Thanks MareMare
-
Fused Glass Pendant
With my picture. My mom asked for one.
-
Anything you think they would like
I didn’t ramble on about their life for no reason.
If you got any ideas while reading their “bio,” (ie, something for animals or a bookmark for dad’s reading), go with it. My imagination limits me greatly. Don’t let my poor imagination limit you too :p If you have ideas, please, use them.
For Mags
(a family friend I have known my whole life)
-
Nightmare Before Christmas wallet/holder
Based on
this,
but it would be better if it was to hold memory cards or money (or anything else you can think of) instead of tea. Actually, anything Nightmare Before Christmas related would be wonderful. It just can’t be too large. Her son, his wife and their daughter are moving in with them, so they have gotten rid of a lot of knick knacks.
-
Plants vs Zombies Plush toy(s)
like this
-
Plants vs Zombies Amigurumi(s)
like this
or
like this
-
Plants vs Zombies Bracelet
-
Ceramic Tile Coasters
Good themes would be Plant vs Zombies or The Nightmare Before Christmas
For My “Boy”friend
Blue is his favorite color, he likes most colors (he is very artistic), no allergies. Old enough to have 4 kids in their 30s
.
-
Robe
He needs a long, warm robe for the winter. Something that will go to
atleast
his mid-calf
-
Prince Valiant 2012 Calendar
-
Homemade Baked Goods
Pies (he would love an apple one with a lattice top, any size, even a tiny one), bread, cookies…. He loves baked goods and they are hard to find here.
-
Mattress Organizer
, something to slip between the mattress and box spring to hold a flash light and an aluminum water bottle. The more simple, the better.
For Gift Giving
-
Gift bags
I added some ideas to my Christmas
pintrest
. You can make them how ever you want; mini totes, stenciled bags, drawstring bags, paper, your call.
-
Gift Tags
A cookie/candy making kit with any of the following
-
Christmas Chocolate Mold
-
Wilton Coupler
-
Decorating/ Icing Bag
I can’t justify buying a bunch when I only need one. And type would be wonderful.
-
Christmas Baking Dishes
and thing for cookies, brownies, bread or mini cakes.
-
1/2 Pint (8 oz) wide Mouth Jar Canning Jars
(the squatty ones, not the tall ones). Supposedly Ace sells these, but we don’t have an Ace. 8 or 9 would be ideal, but even a few would be very helpful.

I claim craftaddiction for a baby toy for the 1 yr old.
Send by 9/24
(3,0,4)
Outstanding claims
MissingWillow: Japanese themed t-shirt
hautedogclothing: Tim Gunn t-shirt
craftaddiction: baby toy
I'm TroubleT! I live in the Atlanta, GA area with my wonderful husband and 2 kidlets. I'm a high school Spanish teacher (of 21 yrs....EEP!) and love my job! We do not have any major allergies in the house other than my honey allergy so don't send me any granola or pour it over my package please.
General décor and paper items
~a festive wreath for my front door. It's red so you might not want to make it red. It also has a glass "screen" door in front of it so it can be white with no worries of it getting icky.
Thank you cinnamon teal!
Thank you Miss B!
Some good sayings can be found at
http://www.quotegarden.com/veterans-day.html

I claim TroubleT for a cookie sheet magnet board for her daughter
(1,0,0)
Hi! I'm Jenn and I'm 34, a programmer, mom to two health-challenged kiddos, married to my high school sweetheart and a complete craft & swap addict. Books are my number one passion in life followed closely by Harry Potter. My son will turn one in just a few short weeks and my daughter celebrated her 7th birthday back in May.
Allergy Info
I am on a very restricted diet because of my son so edibles aren't a great idea. I can't have any dairy or soy. In addition, my daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and Immune Deficiency so we can't accept crafts from anyone with a CFer in their household. Also, If someone in the household has been sick within the two weeks prior to my swap item being sent I respectfully request that the sender wait until two weeks after everyone is well before sending the item out. I can't accept any crafts from smoking households or that have been exposed to smoke due to my daughter's lung issues.
Thank you so, so much in advance for whomever claims me!
My Husband
John loves Star Wars. He has an entire room filled with Star Wars stuff and goes to the conventions whenever they happen. He's also a big comic book fan, heavily into X-men and Green Lantern right now. John's other main interests are music and movies - his DVD collection is rather out of hand.
~ Monster Feet slippers (men's size 12) similar to these:
http://www.stylehive.com/bookmark/funny-monster-feet-slippers-from-onlyslipperscom-1234999
~ Bantha stuffie like this one:
http://www.starwars.com/kids/do/crafts/f20081124.html
~ A Tatooine Suns T-shirt, size XL, similar to this:
http://superpunch.blogspot.com/2011/02/tatooine-suns-t-shirt.html
My Mom
my mom loves dragons and unicorns. She's got quite a collection of art and figures for both, though the dragons seem to out-number everything else. She loves blues and soft greens and really hates reds, oranges and most yellows. She only likes sweet looking dragons though, not the fierce scary kind. Think Pocket Dragons
~ an XXL t-shirt with a cool dragon, unicorn or pegasus design.
~ a unicorn polymer clay figure similar to this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/27554740/ooak-hand-sculpted-polymer-clay-art-doll
~ Unicorn, dragon or pegasus wall art or an embroidered hoop. Here's an example of something she'd go nuts over:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/65760220/desert-unicorn-aceoish-original
My daughter
Cassidy is one part girly girl and one part tom boy. She's addicted to comics like her daddy and watches X-men, Fantastic 4, Justice League, The Avengers and the Teen Titans cartoons every day during her breathing treatments and persuses comics such as Teeny Titans and The Power Pack in her free time. She loves books as much as mommy and favorites include the Percy Jackson series, Harry Potter, and the Red Pyramid Series. She also loves Skippy Jon Jones and Fancy Nancy in the picture book department. Barbies are one her favorite toys right along with her American Girl size dolls.
~ A Gryffindor robe and scarf for her American Girl Doll similar to this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/60833715/wizard-robe-and-scarf-for-18-inch-doll?ref=sc_2
~ Matching PJ or dress set for Cass (size 7) and her American Girl doll
~ Cheerleader Pom Poms
~ Feather hair accessories in bright colors
~ A cute trinket box to organize her nail polish and lip gloss, perhaps decorated with one of the book or comic series she's interested in
~ A girly t-shirt in pink with comic book character(s) on it
My son
Joshua will be one this Christmas. He's just learning to walk and getting into everything. Laid back and easy going, Josh always has a smile and is fascinated by the world around him. He likes bright colors and designs and seems to gravitate toward goofy monster pictures and books.
~ A taggy blanket similar to this style:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=333982.0
~ An activity book (here's an example:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=334056.0
)
~ Star wars or super hero decorated long sleeve t-shirt, sweater or onesie
My Best Friend
Kim has a 1-year-old and is currently a stay-at-home-mom and former veterinarian. She works part-time on a ranch with her husband and the two are heavily involved in polo and horsemanship.
~ Anything polo related such as artwork, trinket boxes, t-shirt size L, etc.
~ A polo-related toy for her son or polo decorated clothing in size 18-24 months.
~ A buckwheat or flaxseed lavender-scented hot/cold pad with horse related fabric, similar to this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=347454.0
For me
~ Large pin/photo board to hang on my wall and pin notes, craft ideas & photos to for inspiration in my craft room
~ Earmuffs or an ear muff band, something cute or HP-related
~ Harry Potter related Christmas tree ornaments or dotees
My list has been sitting for a bit so here are a few additional items:
~ A wisty surprise
http://www.wists.com/tapestrymlp
~ A cool HP Hoopla
For My Son
~ A blanket pal lovey (head of a stuffed animal and body is a blankey)
~ Cute Christmas elf hat (for a 12 month old)
For my daughter
~ Fun dress up stuff for her dress up chest
