So I am finally posting pictures of the lovely hoops I received.

The first is straight from my pintrest! I literally LOL'ed when I saw this. It's from Sandroo.

The next is an homage to my love of Banjos....well my obsession really.
Made by Pupper!

Thanks so much ladies. They are already making friends with my other hoops on my wall!

Hahaha this is an awesome gallery!  I haven't had time to make a compiled hoopla wall for this round yet, but hopefully work will give me a break and I can do it then Smiley

Anyway, on to my hoops!  This is the one I sent to sinellia- she said on her pinterest that she'd love an embroidered version of the Birth of Venus by Botticelli, but that would be awfully hard.  So I thought really hard and came up with the idea of doing an iron-on transfer, and then embroidering parts of that.  I've never done anything like that before, but I think it came out pretty well Smiley  I only stitched some of it, and even then, I sent kinda late  Undecided

Whole hoop:

Closeup of flowers:

My favorite part- closeup of the lady who is holding a blanket(?) to cover Venus' shameless nudity  Cheesy

And this is the hoop that sinellia sent me:

I love all the colors and how all the critters look so happy and cozy!  It's even more perfect, since I just got back from a trip to the aquarium last week- so adorable  Grin  Thank you sinellia!

Ive always loved that pic and my last art teacher pointed out that although the picture looks modest enough, in reality the girl holding the blanket looks almost to be pointing to ..., the wind is blowing air there.... and her hair draws your eyes down to , well there....

Wow love the Venus hoop - so did you print the image onto fabric - how does that work?

Better late than never?!  WhiteSheep and I exchanged last week and the week before that.  We both wanted same theme.  BTW this was my first swap so that is why mine is so amateurish! lol

So, here is what I made her, tree & bird a la Aimee Ray:

And what I so very pleased to receive (hand drawn):

love her tiny chain stitches (her first time doing them)

Great experience in doing a swap, will keep my eyes peeled for Round 7!
