I found the coolest fake fur at wal-mart of all places, and I knew I had to make Rob a bed. The fur is short-ish blue with dots of green that are longer. If you smooth it out it almost looks like stripes. I couldn't figure out how to put the bed together at first, so I had a pile of fake fur on the living room floor for a while and Rob loved it immediately. He would be playing with us and then disappear and we'd find him sleeping in the pile of fur.
Here's the finished bed - I couldn't get Rob to leave it alone, so he's modeling again.

and a top view -

OMG!!! That is the cutest bed... and I love your cat, which is suprising because i normally don't like cats. I need to make my dog a bed like that.. maybe not out of fun fur... he would think it is  a toy...

That is the cutest thing I've ever seen! (except for my own cats, of course) I bet he loves it because it reminds him of his mom!

Here's another...

omg how teeny is that kitten!!  I have two ginormous boys and a girl with some junk in the trunk..  I haven't had littles for a while

Anyway,  I've made two fun fur/fabric beds for my cats (somehow I never got around to the third!)  and they're just big pillows! I couldn't get the little edge.  That's so awesome!  Smiley

Bjork on jungle music- It's positive. It's about fierce, fierce, fierce joy. That sort of 'I'm just too happy, I want to explode'. Aarrgghh! That's jungle. It's like when you meet a person who you know is going to be your friend for ten years. And the energy that's there, it's like aargghh!

He's got HUGE paws. I'm afraid of what he's going to look like when he grows up. He's about 6½ weeks now.

It was a pain in the butt. It all started easily. i made a big cylinder with all the good sides facing in and left about 6" open. That was easy. Then I turned it inside out and folded the sides down to make the kitty bed shape. There has to be an easier way to do this, but I hand-sewed the tube for the sides shut THROUGH MY 6" OPENING so the stuffing wouldn't all fall down into the pillow part, then I stuffed both parts and hand-sewed it shut.
Next time, I think I'll make a ball and squish it to a pancake shape with more stuffing around the edges than in the middle.

Is he polydactyl (looks like he has thumbs)? It's a genetic trait most common on the east coast. I had 2 poly-cats growing up and the "double paws" as we called them were so adorable.
