I claim klg_jlg for a mug rug and maybe a cup cozy.

Send out by Nov. 29

(2,0,0)

I'm TroubleT! I live in the Atlanta, GA area with my wonderful husband and 2 kidlets. I'm a high school Spanish teacher (of 21 yrs....EEP!) and love my job! We do not have any major allergies in the house other than my honey allergy so don't send me any granola or pour it over my package please. Wink

General dcor and paper items

~holiday bunting w/ Christmas trees, snowflakes, ornaments, whatever as long as it's not religious - I have one normal size door that leads out of the living room to the kitchen, one wide doorway (think a door and a half in size) leading to the dining room, both of which have no doors and they need to be jazzed up!

~Holiday greeting cards Non religious please! Preferably humorous

~Handmade ornaments - We love silly, quirky ornaments!!

~Snowmen stuffies! I decorate our house with these and I add a new one or two to my collection every year! A handmade one would be super special. Cheesy

Husband - Computer programmer by day, Awesome Husband by night! He's into Fieros, grilling and electronics.

~Heavy duty hot pads - He cooks with cast iron a LOT so it needs to be durable.

~Sewn trash bag for his car like this done in either gun metal grey or black.

Son - 10 yrs old, very creative, loves to draw, heavy reader Cheesy, loves Lego video games. No Allergies

~a covered Art journal with his name, robots, outer space or a dragon (think oriental but not the Chinese one that you see in parades)

~a magnetic board (cookie sheet style or something similar) in an Outer Space theme appropriate for a 10 yr old boy (no cutesy aliens please!) maybe made with glow in the dark paint? I already have magnets for this! Smiley

~ A figurine or stuffy of a Greek mythological beast for his Holiday Book Box - He loved the Hydra and the Minotaur in the first PJ movie.

~Bookmarks! He loves his books and wont dog ear pages (YAY!) so hed like some handmade book marks, especially if it had his name on it.

~sweater mittens in either a medium blue or red (I can send you a tracing of his hand for this!)

~ a stenciled tee in a theme of Star Wars (Lego or Classic), Angry Birds or Pirates (not necessarily PotC)

~fleece or flannel pajama pants size 14 - He loves soft fabric!

Daughter - 5 yrs old going on DIVA!, loves all things pink, sparkly and princessy. No Allergies

~sweater mittens in either pink or purple (Hand tracing can be provided!)

~a princess plushie OR a felt princess crown - I do a holiday themed book box every year and she is really into all things Princessy so her theme will be just that. Smiley
Thank you leighi123!

~Girlie Bubble bath! Light floral or fruit scent, maybe a spa kit appropriate for a little girl

~any appropriately girlie small hoopla (6" or smaller) for her hoopla wall - She already has a bunny, Pooh bear, her name and a butterfly.

~a girly stenciled tee - You can't go wrong if it is pink/purple, sparkly or princessy! Smiley

~fleece or flannel pajama pants, size 6

My Mom - Sorry no likes, hobbies, or interesting facts for this one. No Allergies

~pieced pillow covers in brick red and cream - I will gladly stuff the pillows myself! I just am not that good at piece work yet. Smiley

~simple, elegant earrings (Fish Hook please, no posts!) - she loves reds, blues, silver and black
Thank you Lindyv321

My Dad A proud veteran of the Korean war and very actively volunteers with the VA in helping vets get the medical care/funds that they deserve. No Allergies

~ a framed art piece (any medium as long as the design is clean, not cluttered) of a Purple Heart (He received 2 during his years of service.) OR  an appropriate Veterans Day saying like REMEMBER with an American flag. Sayings can be found at http://www.quotegarden.com/veterans-day.html

~a jar of preserves He eats buttered toast with jelly or preserves every morning at breakfast. His favorites are apple butter and peach preserves.

ME! - Check out my profile and "So You Want to Swap?" page on my blog for TONS of info on me. Cheesy I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO HONEY!

~sleep shirts - knee length in a size large, I'd prefer either cotton or flannel, a basic pattern with some sort of sleeve is perfect for me. (Please no cap sleeves. I look horrible in those.)

~a memory board to hang over my craft table to help me keep up with important papers and crafty notes, preferably in "nature" colors like browns, forest green and cream.

Misc. Gifts

~Small Teacher gifts My kids have a total of 5 teachers when you include their after school program.  Were fortunate this year in that they are all totally awesome! Im totally OK with them all being the same.

~Small gifts for our 3 karate instructors. My kids and I all take karate and our instructors have the patience of Jobe. Wink

For my kitteh furchild

~A Kitty Pi!

I claim TroubleT for a petite, girly hoopla for her daughter's wall

3 claims, 1 sent, 0 received

I’m Cassie, and I live in Columbus, OH with my boyfriend, and basically his whole family, lol.  There are 5 of us in the house, plus the kitten, but Justin and I are looking at buying our own place within the next year.  Exciting and terrifying!

Biggest wants in red

Me:
I’m a geek, and I admit it freely and with pride.  I love video games, tabletop games, crocheting, and a lot of really assorted and crazy stuff.  I work for a store that sells loose-leaf tea and tea accessories, but I’m hoping to open my own yarn shop in the near future.
-Jewelry, silver-tones mostly, with any sort of colors as accents.  Earrings or bracelets, mostly, but necklaces are more than welcome! http://www.wists.com/angeicmar/cb4fe81913ac0f953a0d44e7679c0007
     -Case for my iPhone http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125484636/
     -Little Mermaid t-shirt https://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125485251/
-Cool pictures to put in my game screen (any mythology is all right, but I like these styles) http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497357/    http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497356/     http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497355/
     -I farkin' LOVE giraffes.  http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125499532/
-These would get worn to death http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125488086/
-Anything handspun.  I love love love art yarns, especially in bright colors.  Basically not black, brown, or gray, and I'm a happy kid.
-Headbands.  I wear a lot of them, and I love love love the ones that look like fascinators. http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125502329/ http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125502325/ http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125502330/

Justin:
My sweetheart is a geek, and I love it!  He’s a gamer (both video games and tabletop gaming; some of his favorites are the FF6, FF7, any Legend of Zelda, and Castlevania from the video side.  He loves Exalted, Scion, and World of Darkness 1st Ed), love superheroes, and is a linguist.
-Any kind of superhero stuffie; Marvel or DC doesn’t matter, but his favorite is The Flash.
-A set of fingerless gloves, or the kind with the flap that can be pulled back http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483377/
-Folders or binders that would let him organize game stuff.  A astrological kind of theme would be great - pics of the Milky Way or constellations stenciled on would be GREAT! http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125501045/
-Anything Alton Brown-y; he LOVES Good Eats and AB
-A clip pouch for his cell phone (this is at least half for me; his phone is ancient, and he keeps handing it to me to carry for him.  I think a pouch with a clip might stop that)
-A seat cushion.  He works from home part of the time, and the chair we have for him is hard.  It would be nice to have something to keep his bum from getting sore. http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483426/
-Shaving cream/aftershave lotion.  He tends to get a lot of razor burn and ingrown hairs, so it would be awesome if anyone has a special formula they use for that.

Jon:
Justin’s younger brother.  He, Justin, and I game together regularly.  He plays WoW, works as a contractor, and is a good artist despite not doing it very much.  He’s also very sardonic and dry-witted.
-Superhero stuffies or shirts; again, DC or Marvel are open, but his favoritse are Captain America and Green Lantern.  http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483399/
-Anime-themed items; he helps run an anime con every year, and likes a lot of the genre.  Favorites are Dragonball Z (Vegeta, specifically) and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya http://www.wists.com/angeicmar/89b385a61ed0300d72fec2a9d12a00c3
-Buckwheat pillow (or something similar) with lavender or something else soothing.  Would be awesome if this could be microwaved to be heated up.
     -Adventure Time! stuff.  http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125496090/
-Sturdy knit or crochet hats and gloves.  Something he can wear outside of work, and gloves or mittens would be preferable (My mom's making a hat, as far as I know) http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125498063/   or http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125498082/

Katie:
Justin’s sister.  She fences, loves to cook and bake, and is heavily involved in the SCA, as is her husband.  She loves Halloween (especially Nightmare Before Christmas), Wonder Woman, and sort-of macabre stuff (she used to take tiny teddy bears, rip apart their seams, stitch them back together with Velcro, and call them “dismemBears”, to give you an example).  ***allergic to alcohol***
-Anything NBC-themed, Jack in particular. http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125485238/
-Materials for anything SCA-friendly (fabrics, gloves, brooches that are period) Thanks, TroubleT!
-Home-made bath products ***no alcohol in these, she gets hives from it***
     -Wonder Woman apron http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483390/

Robert:
Katie’s husband.  He is in the SCA as well, and is a Knight.  He loves Thor and all things Norse Myth-y (he wants to be a Viking soooooo badly), the Oakland Raiders, and all things zombie.
-Viking-related anything (but not the football team, please)!  Wall art, shirts, anything.  He is very picky about it, though, so the closer to historically accurate the better.
-Gnome stuff.  He hates gnomes, so we all try to get him gnomes whenever possible.
-Materials for SCA stuff.  Wood, fabrics, linen yarns and threads are all good. Thanks, TroubleT!
     -Zombie-themed shirts or wall-art http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483362/

Justin’s mom and dad:
She teaches and moderates a break dancing club, he’s an engineer who likes fishing and reading.  She loves earth tones and muted colors, he prefers more deep jewel tones like burgundy and plum. ***she is allergic to wool***
-Handmade bookmarks in WVU or OSU colors http://www.wists.com/angeicmar/54b4d2aa39da813db0331d124883ef4b
-Cup cozies in the same colors
     -Mittens/gloves for them ***wool allergy***
-Prayer book covers for Baha’i prayer books (I can provide dimensions on request)

My mom and step-dad:
My mom is a former nurse (currently disabled) and my step-dad is a retired electrician-turned-handyman.  My mom loves red, their 3 dogs, and cooking shows (Iron Chef Japan is her favorite thing maybe ever).  My step-dad loves woodworking, poker, and computers.
-High-durability potholders.  He cooks a lot, so they need to be sturdy! Thanks Miss Barbara!
-Poker-themed things (bookmarks, knit hats, etc)
-Iron Chef stuff – a chibi-Chairman would be neat!
-Rooster or chicken themed decor; my mom lurves chickens! http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125485274/
     -Kidney hoopla! http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125496088/

My grandmother:
She just turned 80, and is a saucy old bird.  She loves green and polka dots.
-Lotions/body butters in lime-basil scent.  It's her favorite scent EVER and they don't make it anymore.  A body spray in this scent would be great as well.
-Slippers in this style, can be knit, crochet, whatever, as long as it has a non-skid sole http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497375/
-A brag book for pictures of the kids (that's me and my cousins, and the two great-grandkids)
-Fingerless gloves/arm warmers.  She keeps her house super cold, but she also likes to crochet/do crosswords. http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497396/
-She loves cloth shoes like the Toms I listed for myself, but she usually buys them at Kmart - something decorated that she could wear to church would be awesome http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125488086/
-I'd love to be able to give her a neat brooch or pin that she could move from coat to coat when the season changes - something simple and classic, without being too showy.  http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125501095/

The Kitten:
She is, as you might guess, a kitten.  4mos old, calico, and crazy as all get-out.
     -Something like this http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125487224/
-Catnip-infused toys.  She's not into the 'nip all the way yet, but she's getting there.
-Cat hammock.  She's a window-sitter, and now that it's getting cold, she can't crash in them like she used to.  So something like this would be nice, esp if there was a way to get it to hook to a window ledge. http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125501059/

Some of our friends just bought a new house, and they need stuff for their walls!
     -Columbus Blue Jackets bunting
-Fantasy themed hooplas.  Dragons, LotR, Dune are all GREAT themes, for quotes or image inspiration
-They've started collecting Warhol prints like this one: http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125497341/ , so a painting or piece of art inspired by it would be great
     -I don't know why, but I think they'd love this http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125483508/

House stuff
-Wreaths, in greens, oranges, and reds.  http://pinterest.com/pin/106890191125487494/
     -Candles (in glass containers, preferably)
     -Curtain ties in sage green
-Garden markers, either tiles or wooden

Home-made goodies!  We can make a lot of these ourselves, but if someone knows a good recipe for low-carb or sugar-free cookies and candies, I would LOVE to get them(maybe with recipe included?).  Caramels, buckeyes, fudge, anything like that, would all be great.  Dark chocolate bark (with anything mixed in) would get me in good with Justin's mom!

Hi!  My name is Barbara (a.k.a.-"Miss Barbara") and I live in Long Island, NY.  I have three children:  Jacob-17, McKenzie-9, and Mercades-7.  I have a DH who I have been with since high school!  (He is always late giving me the DC receipts after mailing my swap packages, but I still love him!)  I am a preschool teacher for 'at risk' children, and have a degree in Special Education.  I have six hermit crabs who stay in their fishtank.  No allergens in my home.

Everyone in the family but me has SLIGHT allergies to pets.  I CAN have a partner who has pets as long as the supplies and craft is kept away from the pet.  No partners who smoke, or have smokers in the house, please.

(Due to the generosity of Craftsters, my 'need/want' list for the holidays has been whittled down considerably...thank you!)

I claim Miss Barbara for a set of 15 Christmas cards.

(4 claims, 3 received, 3 sent)

Biggest wants are bold and in red.

Hi! I'm Jenn and I'm 34, a programmer, mom to two health-challenged kiddos, married to my high school sweetheart and a complete craft & swap addict. Books are my number one passion in life followed closely by Harry Potter. We live in the Dallas, Texas, area.

Allergy Info
My daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and Immune Deficiency so we can't accept crafts from anyone with a CFer in their household. Also, If someone in the household has been sick within the two weeks prior to when my swap item is to be sent I respectfully request that the sender wait until two weeks after everyone is well before sending the item out. I can't accept any crafts from smoking households or that have been exposed to smoke due to my daughter's lung issues. I know all this sounds scary, but seriously unless someone in your household smokes or currently has the flu it's okay! We've done a ton of swaps and never had an issue yet. Please don't be afraid to claim me Tongue

Thank you so, so much in advance for whomever claims me!

My Husband
John loves Star Wars. He has an entire room filled with Star Wars stuff and goes to the conventions whenever they happen. He's also a big comic book fan, heavily into X-men and Green Lantern right now. John's other main interests are music and movies - his DVD collection is rather out of hand.
~ Bantha stuffie like this one: http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2010/11/how-to_cuddly_felt_bantha.html

My Mom
my mom loves dragons and unicorns. She's got quite a collection of art and figures for both, though the dragons seem to out-number everything else. She loves blues and soft greens and really hates reds, oranges and most yellows. She only likes sweet looking dragons though, not the fierce scary kind. Think Pocket Dragons.
~ a unicorn polymer clay figure similar to this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/27554740/ooak-hand-sculpted-polymer-clay-art-doll
~ Unicorn, dragon or pegasus wall art or an embroidered hoop. Here's an example of something she'd go nuts over: http://www.etsy.com/listing/65760220/desert-unicorn-aceoish-original

My daughter
Cassidy is one part girly girl and one part tom boy. She's addicted to comics like her daddy and watches X-men, Fantastic 4, Justice League, The Avengers and the Teen Titans cartoons every day during her breathing treatments and persuses comics such as Teeny Titans and The Power Pack in her free time. She loves books as much as mommy and favorites include the Percy Jackson series, Harry Potter, and the Red Pyramid Series. She also loves Skippy Jon Jones and Fancy Nancy in the picture book department. Monster High dolls are her new obsession right along with her American Girl size dolls.
~ Monster High inspired skirt or t-shirt (for a t-shirt she prefers the characters to the skull symbol on clothing)
~ Feather hair accessories in bright colors
~ A cute trinket box to organize her nail polish and lip gloss, perhaps decorated with one of the book or comic series she's interested in
~ Fun dress up stuff for her dress up chest
~ Pretty much anything for her American Girl Doll Thanks Plaid Pineapple
~ A twirly skirt in fun, bright colors
~ Fleece throw with crocheted edges in a fun girly pattern, she also likes zebra and cheeta prints. Needs to be at least 48" x 35" for proper snuggling. She'd love patterns similar to these: http://tiny.cc/voyu2 , http://tiny.cc/sh0ay , http://tiny.cc/h2flq

My son
Joshua will be one this Christmas. He's just learning to walk and getting into everything. Laid back and easy going, Josh always has a smile and is fascinated by the world around him. He likes bright colors and designs and seems to gravitate toward goofy monster pictures and books.
~ An activity book (here's an example: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=334056.0)
~ Star wars or super hero decorated long sleeve t-shirt, sweater or onesieThanks TroubleT
~ Cute Christmas elf hat (for a 12 month old) Thanks TroubleT
~ Cute boy/kid print reusable cloths 5-6 needed (to be used to clean the kiddo up at meal time!)
~ Footed sleepers in cute boy patterns

My Best Friend
Kim has a 1-year-old and is currently a stay-at-home-mom and former veterinarian. She works part-time on a ranch with her husband and the two are heavily involved in polo and horsemanship.
~ Anything polo related such as artwork, trinket boxes, t-shirt size L, etc.
~ A buckwheat or flaxseed lavender-scented hot/cold pad with horse related fabric, similar to this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=347454.0

For me
~ Large pin/photo board to hang on my wall and pin notes, craft ideas & photos to for inspiration in my craft room
~ Earmuffs or an ear muff band, something cute or HP-related
~ Harry Potter related Christmas tree ornaments or dotees

I claim tapestrymlp for a fleece throw for her daughter with crocheted edges!

(2, 2, 0)

(Due to the generosity of Craftsters, my 'need/want' list for the holidays has been whittled down considerably...than k you!)

PAPER CRAFT:
-gift tags
-gift bows made from magazine pages
-gift bags of some sort?Huh??  (I'm not sure how this could be done, but I'm sure some clever Craftster out there has done it!)
-bookmarks

SEWN:
-reusuable gift bags (medium size or larger, please) (any color or theme is fine)
-bookmarks
-small zipper pouches
-tea wallets
-mug rugs (do not have to be holiday themed) (any color or theme is fine)

GIFTS FOR DH:
-Anything bug/squirrel/mouse/rat related (He's an exterminator.)
-An ipad cover
-Anything 'Buddha' related
-Anything 'Domo' related

GIFTS FOR DS:
-He is going off to college next year (eek!), so anything you could think of that he could use in a dorm room, or for classes, etc...
-SOFT scarf (any medium) (Let's talk about what color you have in mind.)
-tie tac
-cuff links

GIFTS FOR DD-AGE 9:
-Anything animal/amphibian/reptile related
-Clothing items (she's a 14/16 in size)

GIFTS FOR DD-AGE 7:
-Anything 'Princess' themed!
-Hair accessories, esp. decorated headbands  (please use the 'u' shaped, hard headbands, that you slide over your forehead onto the top of your head...fabric/yarn type headbands slide off her head)
-Anything 'Domo' related
-Anything dress-up related

*I cannot take and post photos.  If whoever chooses to claim me can do so, it would be MUCH appreciated!  Thank you in advance!*

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

I'm going to claim Miss_Barbara for a Domo Ipad Cover for her husband.

Claimed 1, Sent 0, Received 0 (for this round)
Claimed 3, Sent 3, Received 3 (for Round 2)

I'm Jessica, and I live in Ontario, Canada with a giant tabby. I love planning gifts. . . but I don't have a much of a list of people to buy for. So I'd love to prepare some really great gifts for the people I do have, and I've joined this swap to help do just that, since they all appreciate handmade things.

*Yes, I realize I don't have many items left on the list. But if I stall the swap, I'll add more nice and quickly!*

THE LIST:

Jewellery Etc
- pretty sparkly or beady necklace(s) for Mom (she usually wears longer necklaces)

Knit/Crochet
- classy headband/panta-type thing for mom (something to warm her ears without wrecking her hair)

Bath & Body Etc
- pretty looking & smelling (floral, vanilla) soaps/lotions/bath stuff for Mom
- nice smelling candles for Mom

Foodie
- tasty sweet things (e.g. dessert in a jar, fancy jams as long as it would last until Christmas) for Mom
- food prep in a jar (meal type thing) for Grandpa

Other/Pick a Technique
-** teapot with chickadees on it for Mom
- something else you can think of for someone on my list below?

THE PEOPLE

MOM Mid 50s, lives in a townhouse with my sister. Teaches ESL to adults and really loves it.
Likes: sparkle, nice smelling things, The Shopping Channel, books/groups about separation/divorce, leopard print & glossy red in housewares (not clothing!), riding on backs of motorcycles, tea (with goodies)
Dislikes: non-pretty things, cooking, cleaning

DAD 60 (but youd never guess), lives in the middle of nowhere on his own (and it works for him)
Likes: motorcycles (cruisers, not sport bikes), cooking, wood carving, the outdoors, reading (especially sci-fi & Westerns), fly fishing, lakes & oceans, red wine, good Scotch, travelling
Dislikes: beer, sports, cities

GRANDPA 80s, German, lives independently on his own
Likes: walking in the mall, Readers Digest, yelling at CNN, visiting the Germania Club,
Dislikes: a lot of things, getting presents (we usually go gift card or edible), cooking (well, more that he can't really cook except for turkey soup, pork hawks, and sauerkraut)

I claim psyche for a headwarmer and some lotion for her mom. Smiley

(3,0,0)

Send out by Dec. 3.

~a sewn trash "can" for his car in either gunmetal grey or black like this one but less girly naturally.  Wink

Son - 10 yrs old, very creative, loves to draw, heavy reader Cheesy, loves Lego video games. No Allergies

~a magnetic board (cookie sheet style or something similar) in an Outer Space theme appropriate for a 10 yr old boy (no cutesy aliens please!) maybe made with glow in the dark paint?

~ A figurine or stuffy of a Greek mythological beast for his Holiday Book Box - He loved the Hydra and the Minotaur in the first PJ movie.

~Bookmarks! He loves his books and wont dog ear pages (YAY!) so hed like some handmade book marks, especially if it had his name on it.

~sweater mittens in either a medium blue or red (I can send you a tracing of his hand for this!)

~ a stenciled tee in a theme of Star Wars (Lego or Classic) in size 14-16, Angry Birds or Pirates (not necessarily PotC)

Smiley Thank you leighi123!

~Girlie Bubble bath! Light floral or fruit scent, maybe a spa kit appropriate for a little girl

~any appropriately girlie small hoopla (6" or smaller) for her hoopla wall - She already has a bunny, Pooh bear, her name and a butterfly. Thank you cassiem! Cheesy

~a girly stenciled tee (size 6) - You can go wrong if it is pink/purple, sparkly or princessy!
