Aww thank you. I live in the Rocky Mountains so I had to buy the play sand from Walmart. But any dry sand will do(Mine was damp so I had to wait till it was dry)

Surely you don't need TWO sexy pin cushions in your sewing arsenal and you could send one to me?  Wink
But seriously, I LOVE this idea, cute and functional - my pin cushions are too small anyway.

Hee, I bought an outrageous pair of purple high heels at the thrift store ages ago to do this-and forgot all about it! I like the sock of sand idea-much cleverer and easier than what I would have done. Great pincushion!
