That looks fantastic. I love coconut smells. I've always wanted to try to make some for gifts. I did a body scrub once but wasn't a fan.
Can you use a stand mixer or is handheld better (since an ice bath helps it)?
Once its whipped does it stay that way?
I used a hand mixer & now that it's been a couple weeks I can say it hasn't separated, changed consistency, nor gone flat. It's still whipped into a frenzy! I hope folks try this! It's one of those crafts that has been on my 'to try' list forever & I'm so glad to have just done it!

That's awesome - I'm totally going to have to try it.  I've been looking for crafty things to make for people for Christmas, and this has made the list, 100%.

. . . In an effort to save money on gifts, I will spend money on myself, getting a hand mixer and bowl just to make this with.  That's all right, isn't it?  Wink

Oh wow!  This looks just the same as you'd buy in a store.  I might have to try this eventually.  Where did you get the coco/shea butters/

I found it on etsy... will have to look up the shop link. They were great & shipped quick!

I do hope y'all try making this for friends & family...and also to spoil yourselfs rotten! I'm almost out of this batch & need to make more. I'm thinking of going with a fall/winter scent this time.  Smiley

If I can't be my own, I'd feel better dead.

Have you tried making this in a larger batch at all. I am thinking of Christmas gifts as well, but I don't want to attempt a large batch and have it fall flat.
