Rogueraven's journal: I love the Saint Mort page and the white bird on the blue background the best. Also I love the look of the stitched binding and leather straps.Very cool.

Fabricfriend's journal: Beautiful color and wonderful binding. I think the library pocket and the resist corner decoration are my favorite parts.

Nice work all around. I love seeing everyones journals....so many great ideas!

I received my journal from IsikkahJai  Cheesy

It has a beautiful fabric cover:

(reminds me of origami paper)

And here are just a few of my favorite pages (it was hard to pick only a few to share, there are so many that I love!)

(fairies with my last name  Smiley and they even have similar hair colors to me and my husband!)

(Black and white photo of some of my favorite plants)

(Albert Einstein quote and children's art!)

(pretty tree full of detail)

(neato black and white page)

Aaaand IsikkahJai has ESP or something 'cause this is one of my favorite pictures of all time!  Cheesy

(I just LOVE those eyes!!!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you IsikkahJai  Kiss I love my new journal!  Cheesy

She also sent me a pack of 10 colored pens that I forgot to photograph  Roll Eyes but I know I will get a lot of use out of  Smiley

Those were all my fave pages too! XD The black and white photo(s) were taken by yours truly (prepped and developed with my OWN two hands thank you very much!  Grin ) My sister did that INSANE tree. It's AWESOME.
I'm happy you liked it Kartiana. -^^- I think I fell in love with art journals and I'll be making some (for practice) for my family later on. No more bad binding for Jessie-chan!!!  Tongue

kitkat_pro received my art journal I sent her a few days ago and asked me to post pics because she was having camera issues.

Her chosen themes were little red riding hood and steampunk.  I tried to incorporate those as best as I could.

Cover

hand carved stamp

string painting

glue crackle

Thanks for swapping kitkat_pro!

Wulf

i saw it on youtube (one minute muse) you just dip some string in paint and put it in between two pages and (little pressure) and pull the string out.  Great results with little effort Cheesy lol

So sorry it's taken me so long to post pictures of the wonderful journal DearBluebird sent me! It's been my birthday and my best friend flew in for a visit...so I've been a bit distracted.

Here are the pictures though:

I knew I was going to be amazed as soon as I saw the cover:

She did the embroidery herself (and I've been lusting over a bunch of her hoops in the hoopla galleries...so I feel extra lucky Smiley )

A few of my favorite pages:

And she made me a bookmark too:

My favorite page of all (this one is just screaming for even more embellishment):

Thank you so much for my journal! I love it!
