I have a blouse like that and the way you put the buttons in one picture, 2 together, it stops the blouse from gaping between buttons. Idk if that would be a problem if you made it to fit your measurements, but I thought I'd share that with you.

Thanks everyone! Looks like I have 8 buttonholes in my future! Anyone know a good way to measure that out? I usually wing it but I'm guessing there's a better way  Tongue

Interesting thoughts on the two-space-two button arrangement too... Seems like if they were too far apart they'd gape more, but closer together they should gape less than normal buttons. I'll have to keep that in mind for other projects.

I like the two space two arrangement. but saw a neat trick, you could sew a double band in, ie another one behind the one you are placing the buttons on, then the actual buttons that close the blouse are hidden, so you can arrange them for maximum boob coverage etc..AND you can arrange the buttons on top how you want, and as many as you want, because they are purely decorative

Making sure a set of buttons closes across the largest part of your bosom helps prevent gaping.  Smiley

I dont think they're too small. What about two at the top close together and then 4-5 more evenly spaced.
