My knitted uterus!

Yes, she's very well read!

I know these have been posted before but I wanted to remind you all about Wombs on Washington! Knitters are sending uteri from all over the country to be dropped on the steps of the Supreme Court on June 27th.

Any other pro-choice knitters out there? If you're so inclined, take an evening to whip one of these babies up and send her to D.C. It's an easy, fun knit and a great stashbuster!

The pattern is here: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTwomb.html

If you can't beat 'em, knit for 'em.

"A Womb of One's Own"--ha!

Seriously, I'm glad sararosa started this thread.  I meant to participate in this action and it slipped my mind.  Thanks for the reminder!

Having to join the livejournal group is sort of a pain, but they don't want the address to be public for security reasons...

I think if you email aadttsm@yahoo.com, she will give you the address. Let me know if that doesn't work and I'll find it for you.

I held three strands together -- one was just pink red heart, one was delf baby yarn in apricot, and then some slightly nubby pink yarn.

It was a great use for pastel acrylics (double ugh) that someone gave me. But using double pointed needles with three strands was kinda tough, i gotta admit.

Thank You sararosa and afianto.
I understand completely about not making it public knowledge.
