My garden this year consists of my 50 square foot garden plot in a local community garden, my balcony garden, and my assorted herb plants growing in my kitchen window. I actually have another "garden" in my living room, but for this contest I've avoided including my houseplants and have only included the garden that I planted this spring. Most of what you see was grown from seed.
My garden plot, taken last week.

Carrot flower (did you know they flower if you leave them in the ground for two years?)

Balcony garden:

My basil in my kitchen window.

Pretty nasturtiums!  Do you eat them?

Thanks so much! I haven't eaten the nasturtiums but I do want to give it a try. I actually grew them to attract positive bugs and as an attractant for aphids - apparently if you have nasturtiums they will eat those plants and leave your other plants alone.
Gardening is my passion, so I'm glad I had an opportunity to share it on Craftster. I <3 this website:)

Everything look amazing.  Can you still eat the carrot after 2 years?  What does the root look like?  Very interesting!

The carrot doesn't look very tasty - it's about half a foot in diameter and very woody. I'm saving a bunch of seeds from it, though, so I guess in a way I'm going to eat it Smiley
