These are my first two corsets. One very sweet and the other less so. Both are part of costumes for a Fantasy/Fairy Fair. I had a great time wearing them, and I was very relieved when I could take them of again; Those things are tight!

The first one is a very, very, veeeeeeeeeeeery loose interpretation of a dress from 1750's France.

The skirt is trimmed with 28 m. of frilly pink lace.

After all that sugary sweetness, a leather corset was required to balance things out. Smiley

I based the central figure on art deco designs and the designs Alan Lee made for LotR. It's created by 'quilting' the design through all layers to create depth and dimension, and then painting it on with acrylic paint. I used two different colors of gold for a nice shiny effect.

The back:

Both corsets are based on Laughing Moon 100, with extensive changes for fit and look. They were a lot of fun to make, even if they did cost me 3 years of my life and two fingernails

I love them both!  But the sweet dress is so beautiful!   Cheesy

For first corsets they are fabulous!

Nice! I love the flowers, but I appreciated how hard it can be to sew through layers of leather!
