I made my son a vest for a wedding we went to this past weekend. I'm pretty happy with how it came out considering my first attempt was WAY too big and I had to re-sew my side seams and create a seam down the back to get rid of the excess width. In the final product you can see the re-sewn seams on the inside of the vest (not my nice, neat lining!), but only I knew about that!

And here's a dancing action shot from later in the night. He was the life of the party, lol. Though he usually is.

So cute, he looks like he is owning that dance floor.
I have made Mr. Pants 2 shirts this week.

Super cute! You always have the best fabric, carmenmarie, and I love the collage thing you did with the photos, too!

I want to make some button downs for DJ...did you use a pattern?

The pattern is from here, it is 2-6 I think.  You just need to sign up.  there are no instructions tho, it is just a pattern, but shirts aren't that hard to put together.   I use picmonkey.com for the collage.

Thanks! I just downloaded the pattern. Might give this shirt a go this weekend. We'll see!

Obviously I didn't get around to making the shirt last weekend, but I'll post pics when I do! I might have some questions when it comes to the collar, though...I've never done that assembly before.

As there were no instructions and I have never used that collar facing thingy bit (don't even know where it is) i just sewed the collar on the regular way (from the back, and then fold the front under and sew it down)
