I love gardening! We rent our house though, so I limit most of it to containers, since I don't want to really invest the time and money into a temporary place. Also, I haz 3 rogue kitties who consider all plant matter to be of the most delectable kind of dessert, so my indoor gardens are limited to terrariums and hanging plants. Smiley These were all taken at the beginning of the summer, before we got 50 days straight of 110 degree weather (I'm so not kidding...), so the garden looks markedly different now- not much for blooms, but most of the stuff has doubled or tripled in size. Hopefully it'll cool off soon!

Lets start with the outdoor plants, shall we? The first pic is a closeup of my potted wisteria, American variety.

This is the wisteria, and my jade, which grew from a cutting off of a 30 year old plant. The wisteria is about twice as big now, and has bloomed two more times this summer already (the American varieties bloom several times a year, not just in the spring):

My front yard, obviously before the broiling heat of the summer caused them all to go into freak-out mode. I have wave petunias, calibracoa, sweet potato vine, morning glory, basil, mint, cilantro, daisy, spike, sedum, impatiens, geranium, begonia, several hostas, hydrangea, and a few others that looked pretty that I can't remember the name of. That little white trellis is now covered in morning glory vine.

My porch garden, of double impatiens, lobelia, black and blue salvia, some other pretty little bits and bobs that I can't remember, palms, agave, moss rose, sedum, and some begonias.

The other side of the porch garden, is my wildflowers, the wisteria, tomatoes, lettuce, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, aloe, and some other succulents.

Backyard redbud, full bloom!

Silly DH being silly in front of the clematis on the shed!

Little red house finch couple that built a nest (and laid four eggs!) in the plant hanging on the front porch.

OK, now for some indoor plants! This first one is my terrarium garden of African Violets, followed by a smaller one of bamboo, chinaberry, and moss. I have a third that you can see a bit in the other pics, of varigated palm.

This is me and DH's valentine's present to each other, and big and beautiful airplane plant! In the foreground, you can see one of our ornery kitters (Speedy), the aloe before it moved outside, and a bit of the verigated palm terrarium.

Tiny Dancer!

Another of our rogue kitters (Rufus) enjoying his bed of cat grass.

What wonderful green fingers you have!

I've learned something too: an airplane plant in the US is the same as a spider plant in the UK.

Wow!  You have such a green thumb!  I was looking for terrariums, but I'm thrilled to see the rest of your gardening success.  Finches in the hanging pot, dancing kitties, grass rugs, oh my!  Just beautiful!
