Saving money and personalizing our wedding were two of the most important things. We were married May 14, 2011 on a very rainy Saturday afternoon. Almost all of the details of the day were crafted by myself with some help from family and friends.

This is the centre of the lights we had across the ceiling in the hall. My step mother actually used to do bows and flowers at Michael's and she came to the rescue the day before and did this.

We had a cookie and desserts bar. My mom and I baked 7 batches of Chocolate Bon Bons in this jar alone.

Our favours were heart shaped cookie cutters with my "famous" sugar cookie recipe included.

I made the flower girl dresses all by myself. Smiley

The flower girls flower balls were made of Dollar Store daisies and 10" styrofoam balls.

Our centrepieces were Ikea vases filled with stones and candles. Half the tables had tall vases and a pillar candle. The other half were short vases with floating candles. I used left other scrapbooking paper in different shades of blue to make the table numbers.

All the kiddies were given a Chubby soda with a personalized label.

My bouquet was my something old. It originally was my aunt's bouquet from my parent's wedding. I replaced the peach flowers with blue ones.

The boy's boutennieres were also homemade.

Both my groom and his groomsmen all wore Converse. On the heel they said their title (best man/groomsman/etc) and our wedding date.

Our guest book was painted by me. Our guests signed the leaves.

Me! Smiley

That sounds so dirty! Hahhaha  Cheesy
Congratulations on your wedding and on doing such a great job! It definitely does not look DIY! I especially like your flower girl dress and the idea of cookie cutters and a personal recipe as favors.

You did a great job on the flower girl dress! And I actually love the idea of the converses and titles on the back. It's casual but very cool. Smiley
