Oooh! I received the nicest package from jeannettew32 today! Thank you! I'll post pics tonight. Smiley NOW! (Craftster photohosting was being cranky last night.  Roll Eyes)

Okay, so not only did Jeannette send really early, she spoiled me rotten. Here's everything all together:

I'm sorry for the lousy pics... I have absolutely GOT to make a lightbox since I never get home before dark.

She made me a lovely peacock feather/leaf/amethyst necklace, a sweet little woodburned and rock-encrusted box, and a rock-n-recycling notebook (Which she wasn't happy with, but I really like! Smiley):

The necklace is so pretty! (Please excuse the cleavage and sunburn shot!)

Not only is the box really pretty on its own,
, it's full of neat stuff!

There is: a 'rock' stamp, all kinds of neat little rocks, including some stone arrowheads, tiny shells and a pretty larger scallop shell, a tiny glass vial full of small pretty stones, a cute bracelet, a lovely stylized goddess stone figure, a packet of smudging um... stuff (Can't think what else to call it!)(Also, did you make that? It smells amazing!), a peace charm
...and this awesome guy; her son made him for me- isn't he cool? I love his little hat!

Also, she sent a cute decorated tube full of even more rocks- yay!, rock candy and pop rocks- lol, star stickers and a star cardboardy thing...
....a pen that can be worn as a bracelet, a jar full of rocks and shells  from Florida, incense, and a card with even MORE rocks!

And, as if that wasn't enough, she even sent a wonderful gift for my mother:

It has a pretty decorated box, more smudging, another sweet little glass vial full of tiny stones, some shells and rocks and another gorgeous necklace!

Thank you so much Jeannette, you were so generous and I really love everything! Please make sure to tell Nick that I love the skully guy. Smiley

I received from bowlordie today and my package is great!

First off are some agate coasters. These are so cool!!!

a diamond/crystal embroidery. Love it!!!

One of the rocks was wrapped in this...it took me a minute before I noticed the skull in it. This is super cool!!!

The rest of my goodies...some really awesome painted rocks, a pin cushion inspired by a petoskey stone, a plant stake with spikes (a few came off but I am gluing them back on), some pop rocks, and some stone beads including a few skulls.

Thanks so much Ash, everything is great!

I love the crystal embroidery!  I searched and searched for a crystal cross stitch pattern, but never could find one, and I stink at making my own patterns.  I also like the garden stake, really cute.

bowlordie and sweetyetevil, y'all are so clever! I love the jar and the stake that play on 'rock', and I love that you both made things inspired by Petoskeys. Smiley I'm pinning the hoop (so beautiful!) and the pincushion too. Smiley

Those agate coasters are just beautiful, and I love the carved rocks. The painted rocks, that peace symbol carved stone, geodes! <3, the crystal embroidery... awesome packages!

I received yesterday, and finally got the chance to take pictures today after work. So, here they are!

First, my favorite part. I don't know if you meant this to be my favorite part, EnginerdLisa, but it is.

A tree of life necklace and matching earrings. I don't know what type of stones she used for them, but they're a beautiful green. I have to say a little bit more about these, as I don't usually like tree of life pendants like this, but I absolutely LOVE the way she did this one for some reason. Maybe just because it's green? I don't know, but the wire-wrapping is gorgeous and I just love it!  I love the earrings, too, and wore them to work today!

Next, a beautiful matching bracelet to go with the necklace and earrings, and the rock she sent me. She says the rock is a "kettle bottom" which is super neat! I'd never heard of or seen one before.

Two crochet pet rocks. I don't know how to crochet, so this was really neat. I was warned that kitties like them, too, which is why she sent two. I haven't tested this yet, but I intend to very soon.

And finally, three pretty rock/seashell art panels!

This has been a great swap; thanks so much EnginerdLisa!

I love the tree pendent. I have seen them before and always wanted to try one. I guess I should Google for a tutorial and give it a try. Maybe for round two if there is one..  (HINT, HINT) LOL  Wink

Actually, that whole package is really awesome... beautiful bracelet, the pet rocks are too cute, love the necklace.

Also, oddmentsandtweaks, your photos are fabulous! I have got to figure out how to get better pics of swap stuff- mine suck.

Also-also, I finally mailed jeannettew32's package today- yay!

I was just cleaning off my kitchen table and realized there are two more items that I forgot to mention!

The items were packed in a cute blue tote bag that is the perfect size for taking my lunch to work in.  There was also a rock collecting book that she made.  Each page has a spot for a picture and places to write what it is, where you found it etc.

I told you all I was spoiled!

Alright, I can't help it. I took lots of pictures before I sent out (I always do), so here's a few more of EnginerdLisa's package:

The scrapbook she mentioned. I designed the front and the pages inside, and printed up a lot of them and had it bound. Then I filled in the first few pages with some of the things I sent to her.

The earrings again. I was hoping my picture showed how shiny they were a little better? I'm not really sure, though. Anyway, they're made of blue goldstone. I know EnginerdLisa liked blue things, and it was the only blue I had. They're so dark they're almost black, though. Like looking up into a starry night sky.

And finally, a couple close up pictures of the rock things I sent to her. The first has the possible fish kidney, and part of a fossilized turtle shell. The second is the crinoids, which I think are amazingly cool.

Everyone else sent all these cool projects ABOUT rocks (including my cute little crocheted pet rocks--which my cat is unfortunately pretty indifferent to), and for some reason I thought most of my projects had to somehow INVOLVE rocks. Isn't it funny how our minds work differently?

Anyway, I'm glad you think I spoiled you, EnginerdLisa! I was worried I would be sending an awful swap.

I received my gifts today. I am so spoiled, I feel like I robbed my partner of all her belongings!!

When I got home today I rushed to the mailbox only to find more bills.  Embarrassed However, about an hour later there was a knock on the door. It was the UPS guy or the box man as my son used to call him.

This is what I saw.

My first thought was, that is going to be a huge rock, but then I opened it  to find there were more boxes wrapped in beautiful gold paper. There was a box for my son along with a djembe drum. When he saw the drum he didn't even care about the boxes anymore.

I had to make him put the drum down to unwrap his box, and boy he was glad he did.

This is everything inside of his bug box.

Then it was my turn.

I love the box, the picture does no justice for it at all. It had to take hours to glue all them pebbles on this box.

Inside the box:

She had all these tumbled stones wrapped in paper and had them labeled with their names and information about each of them.

These are the beautiful bracelets she made for me.

These are the painted rocks closeup. My favorite is the tree.

She also included a snot load of paper craft supplies because I mentioned that I would like to start doing more of it. I didn't take any pictures of the paper supplies.

This is how my night ended!! I couldn't have asked for a better 1st swap. Thank You very much!

Aww, your son is a cutie- I'm glad he liked his gifts!
I hope the bracelets aren't too big. Your tattoo is really pretty!
Mom tried to steal the tree rock, and I had to promise to make her one.  Cheesy
It was hard to give the box away! It took forever to make, and I may possibly have brain damage from the superglue fumes, but I was so happy with the end result!

And that's it, guys! Everyone has received their packages- thanks to each of you for such a fun, stress-free swap. Smiley

And my favorite- I'm not sure who Rose's partner was, but I would love to know how you did these next items. I can't even see a crease.

Jeannette- the rocks are wet felted (well mostly, I had to needle felt over some gaps)

It's fairly simple, just wool wrapped around the rocks, add hot soapy water and rub until it shrinks down and felts together! Time consuming and rough on the hands though.

I could be a super friend and share....maybe..... .. (evil grin)   This was a fun swap and I'm glad I did it.  Until next time, happy crafting  Grin
