maybe instead of making the mature image tag system more complicated there should just be a push for people to be more descriptive in their titles so it can be figured out from the subject why the project might have the tag.  or like, if you're going to use the mature tag have a disclaimer at the beginning of the post like, "this post contains mature content because of ____."
i think there'll always be the problem though of people having differing ideas of what needs the mature image tag in the first place.   Undecided

This is especially true.  Great point!

I think, if you have any inkling of being offended by mature images, you should have your setting selected as no just in case.  Then, if you choose to review the subject line, text context, etc. and then physically click the image to reveal it, it's your choice.  No, this process won't grab every single offense out there because not everyone is going to agree on the definition of mature.  After all, Craftster is, in general, a pretty feisty bunch! Smiley

And just to reiterate regarding settings:  As of this moment, there is only one person in this entire thread that has the Mature Images setting currently selected as no.  So be sure to review your settings!  If you are only seeing the Mature Warning after an image, you do not have your Mature Images set to no (no = no mature images and yes = you will see mature images!).

But I don't want to censor all mature images. I DO want to be able to see naughty embroidery and such. I just don't want to also have see things that are horrific and disturbing. Undecided

Oh, I know!  I understand.  I just wanted to make sure others had their settings updated.

But that wouldn't do anything for the swap galleries. Granted, the dead animal thing probably wouldn't be occurring in swaps, but still, for everything else... And as for putting text at the beginning, that's fine, but normally you'd still be seeing the image right away, as a couple lines of text aren't enough to put it all the way off the screen.

i was working off the assumption that you'd have it set so you'd see the lil mature image guy instead of the offending picture.  in that case you'd see the more explained warning before clicking the picture and have a better idea if you want to click or not.  honestly, even though i'm not offended by much, i keep mine set on no because i like seeing the lil spool guy.   Cheesy

you still get to see the images, you just have to click on the image that shows up instead of the original picture.  just an extra step.

I understand what you're asking for, we just don't have options like that at the moment.

I'm pretty sure she's asking if it can become available, that's the point of this board, right?

Yup. I mean I thought it was pretty self explanatory! Wink
