Hi  Smiley  Sorry I've been MIA.  Beginning of School Year + Teacher = Utter Chaos.  My partner and I have exchanged several PMs!  We are both very excited.  I'm putting the finishing touches on the extras and should be able to send out Saturday or Monday!

Does the apron *have* to be home-decor or canvas weight? Or if so, can we put quilters cotton over canvas weight and "quilt" them together? I can't get past the idea in my head, but the fabric I want to use is quilters cotton. Anyhow...

I keep coming back to check that the send-out date is really 30th. I keep panicking and thinking it's earlier and I missed it Smiley My brain says "30th" but then a voice says "no, no... can't be right". Meh. I'm off to create Smiley

Someone else asked me about this...I think the quilter's cotton will be just fine by itself; I wouldn't suggest layering it over the heavier fabric.  The reason heavier fabric is called for in this apron is long-range durability, since it's meant to lug stuff in the pockets (unlike a kitchen apron, which is meant to protect from spills and splatters).  But...your partner probably won't be carrying hammers and pockets-full of nails...so just break free of the constraints of the directions, Eclectic!!  Do it YOUR WAY--quilter's cotton rocks!!!

I've been busy with band camp and move-in, but I've bought some really cute fabrics and I can't wait to get it all going!  I also can't wait to see what everyone else's look like.

Guardie for life.

I am really interested in doing a personal swap, especially for greener things like reusable lady items, wool dryer balls, or other such things.  I can knit, sew, draw, and put things together in pretty neat ways.  Please PM me if you're interested.

Right, the apron is all cut out, I will have my tea then sew my butt off! Lol

I have deviated from the pattern a tad as I do my ties for aprons slightly different, hope this is ok?
