I had this old short ugly broken (I broke it) entertainment center that we started using after we moved. It worked but it was UGLY!

See what I'm talking about there in the corner....ignore the cheating ex boyfriend of my daughters......

So when we moved into this house there was this old ugly dresser left behind that my BF wanted to throw out. NO WAY!! It was very well built and we used it for my youngest for a while. So when my oldest daughter went off to the Navy I stole her dresser because it was awesome and moved the youngest into my old dresser (which we painted and made girly for her. I'll post that later). As we were moving it out of the house I noticed that the top drawers were about the same size as the DVD player........A light bulb went off! BF thought I was crazy (he always does until I'm done).

Ugly old thing! It had layers of white, blue and purple paint and the laminate was coming off the top. I knocked out the support piece between the two upper drawers and the one between the two bottom drawers and a few hours of sanding, priming and painting later.....

Boooyah!!!! Pretty new shabby chic looking entertainment center! Makes the rest of the living room look blah now... I had better get to work updating everything else!

I have a button addiction.......

Much better than before! I like the fabric covering the bottom half, I was planning on doing that to my entertainment center!
