Rogues do it from behind

I haven't posted any of my projects lately, so here are the last couple of knit projects I've worked on this summer!

#08 Cabled Yoke Pullover, designer: Norah Gaughan, published in VK Holiday 2010.  Yarn: KFI Gaelic Aran in green tweed.

I made it in a size larger than normal so I could wear a shirt underneath in the winter.  I probably could've just done my usual size because it is a big baggy, but all in all a very cute and comfortable sweater! And it has cables: my favorite!  I knitted most of this project during knitting group, so it took awhile, but ultimately is a quick sweater.

And a fun picture, because I'm silly like that:

Swan Lake Stole, designer Melanie Gibbons, published on Ravelry and designer's website.  Yarn: KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Midnight Heather.

Half of this was knit by one of my friends in knitting group for a Mystery Knit-along, but she didn't really want an asymmetrical stole and gave it to me! So I finished it up, and viola! Most awesome stole.  It makes me feel all sorts of sophisticated, and I'm going to be bringing it on a cruise for a formal night cover-up! Smiley  This was also my first time knitting with size 8/0 beads and I have to say I'm addicted!  I can't wait to knit Hanami, which is another beaded stole pattern from Ms. Gibbons! Smiley

Thanks for looking, and as always, C&C is always appreciated!  Cheesy

Thank you! Unfortunately you live too far away, otherwise I was going to tell you that you could borrow it to wear sometime Smiley  I'm such a green gal and I always pick it because I know it goes with my ghostly complexion and eye color, lol.  One of these days I do need to branch out Tongue

I love both the pullover and the stole!
You are a very talented knitter.
And both garments look perfect on you.

Those are both impressive. Great job. I love the cables and that's one of the first stole's I've ever seen that I think I would actually wear.

Thanks Bea and Puppybreath! Smiley

I really love that the stole is asymmetrical...I've already used it several times, some at work when the A/C gets to be too much and at knit night...it really can be dressed up or down (it's all the attitude, lol)

Great sweater, striker! I don't think the fit is too baggy at all. It looks really comfortable. Pretty color on you too.

Holy wow! That stole is AMAZING! It looks stunning done in that dark yarn.

Thank you!! It is very comfortable and I can't wait to wear it, although I don't want to rush the rest of summer...

Two beautiful projects.  The pullover suits you perfectly and the stole looks technically perfect and utterly elegant.  Well done you Smiley

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.
