I made a few wands just the other day. I made them out of only paper and hot glue! Just thought I should share:



One that I don't use much.

That's great!  Did you use white glue or something on the paper to give it stiffness?  They look beautiful!

I used a hot glue gun. I stuffed the tips with newspaper and then glued the edges shut.
