My husband and I bought our first home last year.  I was super excited to start my own gardens.  Here is what I accomplished this year.

I have always wanted a pond and luckily I didn't have to spend much money on these.  I only bought the plants and the fountain kits.  The previous owners left behind several plastic tubs.  I dug holes for them (They are about 3 feet deep), and filled them with water.  The rocks were scattered in the yard.  They worked out good around the ponds.

The ponds and the rest of the flower bed.  This was originally all grass.

In this little garden I have mint, broccoli, carrots, radishes, pointsettia, hibiscus, straw flowers and roses

I love the hibiscus, there is a new bloom every day.

Do you plan to ever add a koi or two?  That would be awesome!

It's lovely! The fountains look great. Wish I could get some work done on my yard, now!
