made my small this evening, but ruined my manicure in the process Sad I think it's worth it - I'm pleased with how it looks right now so I just have to hope I feel the same once it's dry and I'm less sleep deprived  Grin

I also have a question about points / sizes I'm hoping one (or more...) of the more experianced swappers can help me with; I've seen different ways to guesstimate the 'value' of your craft (by size, by time or by cost) but what if your item doesn't fit the same value for all three ways to measure. So, if it's a medium size but took 4/5 hours to make and cost 13 in supplies? how would you class that?
Also, judging by time how do you measure - everyone crafts at different speeds so do you judge by average speed or by your own speed? (hmm... does that even make sense?)
I've seen that there is a 'judge my points value' thread but I don't wanna post pictures in case my partner sees...

Y'all are more than welcome to PM jennie or me with specific project size questions; we would be more than happy to help!

For me, I usually go by time crafted (if I'm a newbie in the craft/project I take that in account...usually dividing the time in half).  At times I also take in consideration material cost, especially in jewelry or when using fabulous, luxurious yarns.  And I never judge sizes by the actual size of the finished project.

On crafting news front, I am still planning & sketching.

I've got the small nearly finished, and I'm working on the medium, still a little uncertain about the large, but we'll see Wink

I've been poking around other swaps and galleries to draw comparison and I think I'm ok Smiley I just don't wanna risk disappointing my partner.
Two shows today have enabled me to get crackin on the base for my large, So I should be in a good position to take a weekend off before I finish it on Monday

Sounds like it will look AMAZING when it's done, though!

Medium is done!  I'm a bit shocked myself - don't usually craft this fast for a swap.

Feeling a little bit behind here... but I've gotten started on my small craft tonight! It's a new medium for me, so it might take a bit longer, but that's mostly due to experimentation - which is always fun! Plus it's an excuse to make a few "trial" pieces for myself Wink
