I'm still around making my TM bags - this time I actually approached the task with a very specific theme in mind: Potter! I love the books and movies and with the last movie just gracing the theaters I guess this was my period of mourning that the epic adventure is over. I made this for my very good friend PirateColey, also a die-hard fan and I just love how it all came out!

My favorite panels - it was pretty hard to not pick them all but I love how these ones came out! The Keep Calm one used a little bit of silver sparkly thread and I can see why so many stitchers complain about the hassel!

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts! I might try doing another themed project again - this was so much fun!

Ahh I love it!! I started on mine but I had a hard time sewing the fabric over and use simple stitches. My sides does not stay down. For example, I sew all 4 sides then I fold over the fabric to hide the sewing machine stitches and when I do a simple stitch ( decorated way ) the sides still can see the stitches. It doesn't stay down. I can take a picture and show what I mean. I would like to have a quick tip!

Thank you guys so much! I loved making this bag. I guess it was my way of coping with the ending of the hp series.

Golden - I've machine sewed the pillows stuffed with poly I'll and then whipstitch it shut. A lot of the time you can see a bit of themmachine thread but it's hardly noticable when you finish the embellishment of the panel. I wouldn't worry about tying to hide it personally. Let me knOw if that helPs.
