this is amazing! so many teeny tiny pieces! oh my. beautiful!
The joy of doing this type of quilt is that you sew strips of colors together then sew into a tube.  Then cross cut the tube and pick the seams to stager the color patterns.  You are not working with individual little squares.

Dear lord, the very idea terrifies me! I think at one point I calculated there were about 1600 squares in the quilt - I can't imagine doing each of those individually!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm happy to report that they absolutely loved it. And I was forgiven for it not being a 'real' fractal. Wink

This is AMAZING. I don't have a lot of patience for piecing at all and I was all proud of myself for the simple 't-shirt' quilt I'll be posting later..

Mine is far less awesome than this.

I sometimes dream of glorious fabrics only to wake, run to to my stash, and realize it's time for a trip to the fabric store...

So gorgeous! Did you do it by hand or with a machine?

So incredibly beautiful.
Makes me want to take out a sewing machine and just sew and sew and sew.

Amazing.
