I finished another one of these yesterday.

One of the ears is floppier than the other, so they look uneven, but after re-doing it like 3 times I resigned to this.
Having a floppy ear is part of an animal's charm anyways, right?  Tongue

The fur is left over from this outfit, so I can have a hat to wear with it.

Thanks again for sharing the pattern! It's an awesome base to go off of (I've made some changes to it, but they're not obvious)

Just wanted to say thank you for this tutorial. I bought some remnant fun fur and didnt know where to begin. This was great!! I'm definitely more of a crafter than a sew-er, and this was super easy to understand. I didn't do the multicolor fur because I only had one color, and I ended up not being able to use the fold for the fur because of the size of my remnant (I sewed the two halves together).

My version:

Thanks again,

Where did you guys find the faux fur? I'm looking to make one of these for my Grateful Dead Dancing Bear halloween costume, but I need purple faux fur. I'm in Miami. Any suggestions?

You inspired my yoda hat! Cheesy I was going to a hat party with my friends and I already had a hat but my other half didn't so I said "why don't I make you one?" so we are both lovers of Star Wars anyway so I stumbled across this and it was so easy to follow with the out come i wanted at the end! Thank you for this tutorial! It was exactly what I needed for a project. I'm sorry I haven't commented sooner, but I just joined the site.

Here is the one I made for a friend. She wanted a rainbow unicorn hood, so I added a mane to this and shaped the ears to be more horse like. The horn was created after this picture.
