It is pretty easy to make! Sewing is not my best crafting skill (I am much more of a knitter) but I love making costumes & burning man outfits, and fur is surprisingly forgiving! The fur hides all the messy stitches from sewing the ears on by hand.

OK, so it's not from the playa, but here's an action shot of the hat at nuit blanche in toronto, with my matching bike.

I finally got around to making one of these, with a couple little changes - smaller along the top, no extra fur in the ears, and different "pom poms." It's lined in fleece and I just used iron on interfacing inside the ears for stiffness (ironed onto the fleece). Thanks again for the tutorial!

To anyone having trouble sewing the ears on with all that fur: I noticed it got a bit easier when I switched to a curved needle.

Thank you so much for this tutorial - I just made two hats yesterday for a decompression and they are purrrrfect!

The directions were really detailed, they fit great and are really cool!
