During my - very brief - stint as a camp counselor, I took the opportunity to make myself bento lunches. I had to pack a lunch since we were in the middle of the woods, and who doesn't want a cute lunch?? I decided to match my lunch to the theme of the week and this bento is from "going green" week.
Top left: mini spanakopitas made from wonton wrappers; spinach pasta (there's a sauce container with pesto beneath the pasta)
Top right: unshelled "tea egg" that isn't tea flavored; kinpira made with "rainbow slaw" which I think was cabbage, broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower; mustard in the sauce container and the green-wrapper cheese wedge (garlic herb I think) for the egg
Bottom left: pesto chicken mushroom salad, I just packed it with the spinach and pesto on top
Bottom right: green grapes and a kiwi
On the side: "mojito" pudding - vanilla lime pudding with mint leaves
A picture of a shelled "tea egg". I hard boiled the egg then cracked the shell all around. Soak in tea - or in this case, water with green food coloring - and let sit overnight. I've never actually had a real tea egg haha
