I received fro Caymen yesterday and OMG I was blown away by such an awesome package!!

Placemats (all say food in: English, Swahili, German and (not sure which Asian language))  I love how all the fabrics match the languages!!





And the bestest thing EVER!!!  A clock in ASL:

That clock is seriously kick ass.

Since the creator hasn't answered .....The characters on the one place mat are the Chinese characters for food. The pinyin for them is "shipin" pronounced like "sure peen". I'm pretty sure they have the same meaning in Japanese too.

Crazyda - I'm glad you like it! It was the first time I've ever worked with clay and the first time I've ever done freezer paper stenciling (I'm sure you can tell if you look close!). Yes, the asain one is in Chinese. The Swahili one was made with fabric I picked up in Zambia last year. I tend to hoard my Africa fabric but I knew this was the perfect use!

I love love love it all!  I would have never guessed it was your first time with any of that!! WOW great skills!!  Thanks for a fantabulous swap!  Made me so happy!!  The kids are loving the placemats, swapping them every meal and asking how to say each word.
