I slumped this glass piece in my kiln over a ceramic mold.  The firing schedule is pretty tricky and the placement is trickier yet.  But after about 5 tries I got it figured out.

I'm pretty stoked about how it turned out.  Sorta creepy but totally cool!

You like?

Thanks for looking!

That is so amazing. Shocked

Yeah a little creepy, but all masks are a little creepy, but utterly amazing. I am gobsmacked.

Very interesting! Never seen a mask made of slumped glass. Did you use a single sheet?

Yup, a single layer of glass.  It was just a piece of opalescent stained glass.  I did use "Spray A" over the top of it to keep it from getting devitrified.

I've also tried it with cathedral glass.  You can see the face more defined with that kind of glass.   Smiley

Creepy though it may be, I absolutely love it! I've never seen a glass mask like that before; it is beautiful.
Great job!
