Some NEW Mechanical Birdies - Bulova & Rustbucket!

Hey guys! Long time, no see! Even though life is a little hectic, I have to come back every once in awhile... this community is what got me started in the claying world. I miss it!

I wanted to show you some of my newest work - some mechanical birdies! They both have one blue eye.

This guys name is BULOVA! I used a watch winder for one of his eyes, and it happened to say Bulova on it, so I decided... that's a cool name.








...And this guys name is RUSTBUCKET! I used copper, bronze, and brass mica powders to detail him so he looked sort of rusty.

I haven't been on Craftster much the last several months, but I peeked over here this morning on a whim. I just have to say your work has really improved - your pieces have a much more polished look to them than they did when you first started. It's always been good, but it's really starting to stand out from the crowd.

I am blown away!!! Holy crap, those are amazing! Please tell me that you used legit watch parts and gears to detail them (apart from the eyes). If you molded the gear bits on Rustbucket's back yourself, I might die
