I am very obsessed with the blog hyperbole and a half and have cross stitched a few of her cartoons.

These are the ones I've done so far, I am sure there will be many more to come though.  Grin

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. Sincerely. I saw your works (which are amazing!) and, having a chuckle at the "Kenny Loggins" cross stitch, Googled Hyperbole. I just read the first post that showed up-"The Simple Dog Goes for a Joy Ride"--and laughed myself stupid. I think my fiance thinks I've lost it.

Love love love this!

Oh wow, these are fantastic. I especially love the baby Jesus one. That bit really cracks me up.

Great job! There's a knitting pattern for her Alot monster on Ravelry at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/alot-of-fun and your cross stitches are fantastic! I'm half tempted to do some of the cake versions.

Although I was sure I could post pics, apparently I can't, so I've put a link at the bottom of the post to an embroidery Alot that I made :-)

I made this for a friend who was going through a rough patch.  LSG is a group on Ravelry that we're both part of :-)

The outlines and the writing are embroidered, but the colouring is done with wax crayon on cotton (my wrists are bad and I needed to finish it quickly!).

I have actually been using this site to make some embroidery patterns from photos.  I got the code from a box of crayons.  It basically takes a photo and turns it into a coloring book. Perfect for embroidery Smiley  Bet you could do the same with any image.
