Does anyone know about any great knitting circles in State College or would like to start one with me? I was in NYC for a year (where I learned to knit!) and I return only to realize I have no one to knit with here! Boo. Anyway, if you know or would like to start one, let me know!   Cheesy

what state college do you go to?  I am finishing up my 5th year (super senior) and I too have a hard time finding people to do crocheting or knitting with...  To my friends, they think I'm crazy because I have two cats and I love fiber arts.  If it's not the bar or drinking, people my age dont really have hobbies...

I live in State College, Pennsylvania. It's a town (home of Penn State University, which I attend).  Smiley  I assume that's what you're asking  Cheesy

Anyway, I know what you mean! PSU has this huge rep as a big drinking school which it definately lives up to! That's why I, too, would like to find some people who enjoy knitting  Smiley But SC is only 1/2 students, so I'm open to knitting with anyone who is interested; I live here year-round  Cheesy

Oh, yay!  Cheesy I knew I couldn't be the only one!
Hmm... defunct group, eh? Boo! Please do let me know if you hear about anything  Smiley
I'd love to get together and knit, though, it'd be fun. I'm free most of the time, pm me if you'll be free for knitting fun and we'll work out a time and place  Smiley

It's a shame, too, that the  only place to get yarn relatively close to campus is Michaels or Walmart.  Grarrr.  State College needs a yarn store!

I'm in State College! And I'd love to meet up to knit... Unfortunately I don't know of any existing groups - perhaps we'll just have to start one!?!

I thought this thread was dead! Yay  Cheesy  I'm still very interested in a knitting group! I'm vacationing in Delaware until late August, but I'm definately willing to try starting one up upon my return.  ShellBelle, are you with me? Anyone else? Sounds like the area is super starved for a great knitting circle  Smiley
