#~#~CLOSED~#~#
See you all in a future round of STS!
Hi My name is Elaine, I live in NSW Australia. I’m a mum of 2 girls and am lucky enough to be a stay at home mum. I love to craft and have been making things in some shape or form since I was abou t 4 or 5, but more seriously only in the last 5 or so years. Many people ask me where I find the time. I just tell them I MAKE time! (Apple Valley comes from the fact that I live in the valley next to the largest apple growing region in Australia). We have a no-smoking, pet free home and have no allergies.
NEW!
Mug rug - 1 point each
Sorry for the 'dreamy' quality fo the photos thats what happens when your sticky fingered kids play with your camera without your knowledge!
Mug Rug 1 - 7.5" x 6"
Mug Rug 2 - 7 x 6.5
Mug Rug 3 - 2 sided - 9" x 6"
If these are popular I have plans to make more probably a pink, blue and a purple one - in a similar style to the green one above. If you have a certain colour preferance then just message me and I'll let you know if I can manage it.
I spy bag - ½ a point
I spy bags are excellent amusement for kids in the car, planes and other places where their play is restricted. Each bag contains 10-12 items to 'spy' and are filled with bean bag beans - light for postage and to carry around. They have a 'window' so children can sort through the bag and 'spy' the items. For older children you can expand the play to 'find a red item, something that begins with the letter 'R', tell me a story using 2 of the items in the bag. Items inside bag may vary from those shown. Probably not suitable for under 3's as the bags contain small parts, although all bags are lined and sewn with care so I wouldn't expect leakage! Parents discretion I suppose.
Available in various fabrics:
Turquoise Winnie the pooh
Snakes and spiders on black
Ladybugs on yellow
Teddies in dresses on blue

All T-shirts are brand new and Applique is fixed on with fusible webbing and then hand sewn securely with blanket stitch

Welcome to the Laughing Lark Shop
Allergen:
I live in a non-smoking home with two kitties. The cats are both quite furry, and I keep them out of my supplies as much as possible, but their fur gets on me, and might get onto crafts I make even though I am careful.
Open! (will try to add new stock today!)
There will be woven scarves made with wool, and hand spun yarns coming soon. I will be able to make a lot more new things now that school has started.
Yarnage!
My newbie art yarns. I have been spinning for just a few months, and I love it! I do not weight down my yarns when setting the twist, and try to keep my yarns as balanced as I can. There will be some thick and thin, though. Check back often for new yarns.
Coral Cove Corespun Art Yarn ( 2 pts)
26 yards, plus about a yard or so of plain singles on each end for cast on and bind off. The corespun section has a core of cotton Mayville rug warp, and is about 5 wraps per inch. Various upcycled sweater yarns. Wool blends, a bit of angora and mohair. There is a bit of iridescent sparkle from one of the yarns which resembles Angelina. I dyed the yarns after frogging the sweaters. The colors made me think of a beachfront resort, so I gave this yarn a name that such a resort might have.
Sakura (2 pts)
84 yards, chain plied. I was just learning chain-ply. This is Sheep Shed Dye Soppers in shades of pink. About 8 Wpi, but may vary a bit.
Birds in flight sun catchers
My free-hand wire birdies. Most of the time, people use a piece of clear thread to hang these up in a window in groups, but you can also make them into mobiles, tree ornaments, etc.
Birds group #1 (.5 pts)
Birds group #2 (.5 pts)
Birds group #3 (.5 pts)
Birds group #4 (.5 pts)
Birds group #5 (.5 pts)
Imperfect hand dyed woven scarf (1)
This is one of my first scarves. I made it from recycled sweater yarn and used kool aid to dye the yarn. The yarn is 50% acrylic/50% wool. There is one small float (weaving error), and a lighter patch where the dye must not have struck as well. I have since switched to Jacquard for dyeing. This scarf is wearable as is, but might be good for cutting up to make a woven bag.
Blue/brown acrylic scarf (1)
The warp is Red Heart variegated yarn, and the weft is Lion Brand Homespun. This scarf is a good choice for someone who can't wear wool, or might want to be able to just throw the scarf in the washer.
Maroon Chenille scarf (1)
Another acrylic scarf. This one can go in the washer, but should be dried flat, or hung to dry. The weft is chenille, and makes this scarf soft.
Beaded Sun Catcher Set (1)
These can go in the window, or on the tree at Christmas.

These are all ready to ship, but I'm happy to do customs in whatever color combo you want, and do the size you need. I can also modify any of these ones to fit your size.
5. Medium flat rate box of fabric: will be a whole mix of random fabrics, mostly smaller amounts for small projects. Let me know if you want mostly corduroy or a mix of whatever, I have all kinds of stuff. It will probably NOT be a lot of cotton woven or knits because thats what I use most of. 3pts.
6. Orange, navy and white bag: TONES of pockets for all different things (including ones for sunglasses, Chapstick, business cards, and a bunch more for whatever else you have). Converts from a tote to a back pack. This thing took me FOREVER to make and was a lot of work, its awesome looking in the end, but ended up being bigger than what I needed it for. I have more pics if you want to see. 3pts
7. Snack bags: lined with natural unbleached cotton. 2/1pt. 200+ fabrics to choose from! Snap or velcro closure.
8. Kids size umbrellas: unpainted, 1pt, hand painted 2-3pts depending on the design. I have 2 of these I believe. Kid size. The one I painted for Levi has held up for the past 2 years and is super cute! (his is fishy theme) Here is an example of a painted one:
9. Kids montessori placemats: 1pt each. Choose any colors you want and any fabric for the back. Helps kids set the table!
If you are looking for baby/kids stuff please PM me, I have a TON more but I don't want to post it all if no one has kids to 'shop' for this round!
THIS ROCKS
