Super cute! I checked out your blog... was the back only elastic really hard to do? I love how it looks.  How did you decide how big to make the rectangles? I've never been able to sew anything that I would be caught dead in outside of the house... Would love to make a not too complicated skirt or two before the summer's over!!  Cheesy

Thanks everyone!

[teachart] It was hard because I had never done it before, and I thought that I'd be able to get the elastic through the waistband without using a safety pin to pull it through since I wasn't going to pull it through the entire waist band.  It probably would've been easier with a safety pin, but I couldn't find one anywhere!

As for the rectangles, I just measured how wide or full I wanted the skirt to be at the bottom, and how long I wanted it..... so my rectangles were roughly 28" wide and 25" long (it was already hemmed at the bottom, since I used the edge of the curtains, so I didn't have to include it in my calculation)

Hope that helps!  Grin
