Ok, finally posting the rest of my Christmas stuff!

I did a gift exchange with my anime club, and of course, I got the one person I had never spoken too. I was told she likes cupcakes and Dragonball, so I made her a Dragonball plushie out of the softest fabric ever.

It came out a little lumpy, but she loved it anyway. I also made sushi cupcakes:

I used plain white jimmies to look like rice, and they were nearly impossible to find. Seriously, it was ridiculous. Finally, my brother had the idea to go the the bakery counter at the grocery store and ask if they had any I could buy.

With the leftover awesome fabric from the Dragonball, I made a scarf for my friend, another DBZ fan.

Modeled by my roommate.

Finally, here are the scarf and mittens I made for my mom.

Turned up so you can see the nice warm fleece lining ^_^ My mom loves them. She says everyone at work is jealous and wants a set. I failed to get pictures of a lot of the gifts, but my brother loves his snuggie-thing, the NE-in-a-box gift went over very well with the brother's girlfriend, and the notebook I made my dad for his song lyrics made him cry. In a good way. He says that someday when he's a famous songwriter, that book will be worth millions. So yeah, pretty successful Christmas all around. Sorry for the really long post.

I love your crafty gifts!  There is nothing quite like getting something that someone took the time to make for you because they care.  I especially love the saying on the T-shirt about I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.  LOL!!!  Perhaps I need to make one for myself to wear.   Grin

I don't have any gifts due until June, but then they start hitting fast and furious. I need to start thinking of ideas!
I have been using the least wonky of the tea wallets I made every day at work. Those things are handy!
June-great nephew turns 5, and my mom turns 85. *puts on thinking cap*

Glad to see everyone's still "in it" for this craft-a-long.... thankfully I had a bit of a break after Christmas. The hubs' 30th was the middle of January, but his gift from me was a surprise party, so not a lot of crafting there (well, I made all the food and the cupcakes and the like, but really...)

Anywho - the next big thing in my life is - that my best friend just had her 3rd baby - and it's a GIRL! Cheesy

She and I each have 2 sisters, we grew up all together, all 6 of us girls, then she and I both got married and had 2 boys... we had no idea what we were in for, so I've been hoping and praying that we finally get to see a little PINK hanging around in the closets. Anyways, I made up this hoop (my first ever piece of embroidery.... not my finest craft, but there you have it) based on something I saw on pinterest... (which I can't find now, but I'm still looking). I looked at the picture and then sat down with some fabric in a hoop and a fabric marker that disappears after a while and just drew, then I stitched furiously before the marker all disappeared... and waited for that baby to be born! When I finally found out it was a girl, and her name, I stitched it in and wrapped that sucker up!

Here's some pics:

Sorry for the pic overload, but I was pretty impressed with myself actually being able to finish it... it looks a little... well, like a child did it, but she's my bff, she'll love it anyways (she might hang it somewhere where no one will ever see it, but hey...).

Tea.

Teamama:  Your hoop is awesome!  I love it, and I bet your BFF does too Smiley  Don't be surprised if she hangs it somewhere in a place of honor for everyone to see!
