I stopped at an outdoor bird/garden decor shop and got a great idea: windchimes. I found instructions and it doesn't look hard and my boyfriend can loan me a pipe cutter so I will be buying copper pipe and having lots of fun for my mom and MIL!

My friend's 21st birthday is coming up soon, so I decided to make her two drink recipe books- one video game themed and one Disney themed. I haven't gotten them printed or put together yet, but I have them all Photoshopped and ready to go. Here are a few of my favorites.

What do you think? I had never worked with Photoshop before, so I hope they look okay.

The windchime idea is a good one, I made some last year out of old spoons beaten flat, for some "hard to make for" people and they seemed to like them.

@lieutenant_crunch - I also think they look awesome! That's a fabulous idea! My sister in law used to bartend... and I wonder if she'd like something similar... you've started the ideas flowing! Smiley

@Kitsune_Tearz - lurkers are welcome. Welcome to post comments and encouragement and... well... feel free to take the pledge and be more than a lurker too, if you like!

@hawkeyes_girl - Windchimes are a fabulous idea!!! I don't think I know anyone who I could make them for, but I sure look forward to seeing how yours turn out! Smiley

I'm taking a super-brief break from homemade gift crafting to put a pedal down in finishing up my crafting for the Back to Hogwarts swap. But after that it's back at it. I think I just got another GREAT (ummm maybe...) idea for my kiddos. They're kind of obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba right now, and the characters all seem fairly simple, I was thinking about making some stuffies and a Gabbaland for them to play with... anyone make stuffies on a regular basis? Any tips?

Tea.

These are the instructions I will be somewhat following if anyone wants to make windchimes too!

I admire the ones made of silverware, I will just be taking the lazier route!

I might have to try that windchime thing!

Haha, last night a friend asked me what I was up to and I text back saying "Playing Your Shape Fitness Evolved and wrapping a Christmas present" he was like "Isn't it a little early for Christmas!?" I laughed and replied "It's never too early to start 8D" Tongue

I should probably work on my biological mom's birthday present. Granted her birthday isn't 'til the 25th of October, but it's not too late to get a head start.
