I'm wearing fake nails too. I hate that since I'm so cheap, I glue them on myself....they don't last very long at all.

Here's a pic of what I made my mom for her birthday (it expanded after talking to my mom)

bar shampoo, lavender vinegar hair rinse, almond hand creme, and a necklace I beaded with my and my mother's birthstone colors (pink tourmaline is an alternate for October and amethyst for February). Does not photograph well but it's sparkly in person.
By the way, she loves pink!

._. I learned a valuable lesson..... If you're not a good ring maker and you're making a ring and you've never worn fake nails before, even if you're an avid nail biter and it's a good way to break the habit AND have a cute Halloween design on your nails, WAIT UNTIL YOU FINSIH THE RING BEFORE SCREWING YOURSELF OVER WITH FAKE NAILS!!!! Do you know how hard it is to craft or even use an iPhone with fake nails on?! O_O;;;;

it takes a LOT of pratice to do ANYTHING with fake nails. I always forget that and I always struggle with the simplest things like picking up a quarter or like a metro card on the table. IT SUCKS !! I've never worn fake nails to craft so you're amazing to even attempt to do so. I'm far to scared of somehow banging my nails (which hurts like NOBODY'S business) or it somehow cracking. (I'm very paranoid when I have fake nails on even though they're kind of indestructible)

But do share us pics of your ring!! maybe even the whole process  Cheesy

I'll get some pics up of it once I've got it looking semi decent and all in one piece again LOL. It needs some major wrapping. >_>

Well, with this being my 1st time ever having them, I've been like "Yeah...I'm not waiting 'til the damn nails come off to craft! I'M IN ART SCHOOL AND HAVE TO DRAW FOR A LIVING, SO I MAY AS WELL KEEP CRAFTING TOO!!!!" LOL So lame.

--

Hawkeyes_girl, I glued them on myself and as they've randomly popped off or come loose from me sucking at doing them myself, I just reglued them and put them back on LOL. I need to quit biting my nails, even if these things are so evil.

@Hawkeyesgirl - Love the necklace, and your choice of stones!

Wanted to let everyone know that  the "Space Oddity" book and the zombie shirt were big hits!

Yay - heard from my BFF, who loved her tunnel book!

Bad news: The ring literally died Sad I really am a terrible ring maker. I'll get him a good homemade one on Etsy.

Good news: I'm working on some of my chainmaille projects for him, and the one that I pretty much am just making up as I go along is working out really well! Pics soon.

Bad news: I can't afford a Greyhound ticket >_>

Good news: Windchime is coming along really well Smiley

home made smellies, lovely idea! im  intrigued by the lavender hair rinse. i've never heard of that before. maybe a silly question but does it smell like lavender or is it a vinegary small?

leaving gift for one of my colleagues who is (and proud to be) a Knitting Nanna Smiley

Someone took calligraphy...nice job!  Grin

The hair rinse I added Lavender EO and real lavender buds to. It is sucking the color from the buds and smells real lavender-y. It does have a slight vinegar smell but I am assured it goes away when your hair dries.

And you are only using 2 tbsp. in 2 cups of water so the impact is diluted.
