OOOh!  I get to be the first to post my goodies from mandys_momma!!

She made me this lovely lap quilt and matching pillow!  The colors are perfect!


Here is another photo to show the size better.  I don't know if you can tell, but it is SUPER puffy!


Several of the squares were embroidered and beaded with shells and starfish and fish!

Is that just really a high loft batting or were each of those squares individually stuffed?

It looks like each square was stuffed and then sewn together!

That's what I thought too - wow!  That's a lot of work!

I love those colors!! It looks like a nice lap quilt to cuddle with while crafting .

Yes, each square was individually stuffed. I cheated, though...I sewed 3 sides of each "puff" square. Turned them right side out. Then I sewed the rows of squares together. THEN I stuffed each square. Rolled under the edge and abutted it to the next row of puff squares. I only have an old sewing machine and there wasn't room to stuff each square and try to scrunch it all up around the sewing foot.
