Received my package from pjr107 today. I don't know who was more excited my son or me.

Here's the whole lot. The monster, a christmas shopping bag, little plastic animals and some animals that grow when placed in water. Not in this picture since my niece wanted to see the lion grow.

The little animals that were in the pocket on the back.

Here's the pocket.

Here's my little boy with the monster.

Here are the safari grow animals already in water.

My poor first attempt:

Same fabrics as the one I sent - different configuration.

And the back was one fabric:

And I'm on my way home so fingers crossed, fiddlegirl8!

And I did receive from fiddlegirl8!

Wist image that inspired the monster (and the monster-maker!):

Meet Trini the Monster:

Love the color. Love that we both added ears to our monsters. Love the Mary Janes!

But wait - there's more:

A mini toile tote that Diane says she already had made so it doesn't count as an extra - I think it's great!

And a map of Kansas transportation (might end up in -zoma-'s Head Start Art Journal that I'll be working on this weekend!) and some Crystal Light. Thanks for feeding my addiction and thanks for a FUN swap. Trini will hang this weekend with me at my house and then join Crooked-y in the Art Room at school.

I wanted to use some of my fabric but couldnt find the right one. Then my old jeans were just sitting there waving to me "hey! Use me"
My son helped pick out buttons, had an opinion on his hair, and made sure he was hugable. He also picked out the stuff to put in the pocket. So enjoy!

Cheesy  Smmarrt - so glad you received today - glad you like her, her ears and her Mary Janes - I told another craftster friend today that Trini had a virus, gave it to me once she was finished and now I have to make more!!!   Roll Eyes   I didn't think I would become a monster maker until looking at Smmarrt's wist, but, yeah, well, I guess I am a monster maker now - I have lots of ideas now for monsters galore. Thanks again to our organizers, Leslieshappyheart and susanab - ready for the apron swap now.  Cool

miknessevie received yesterday, but her camera isn't working so she asked me to post pictures for her of the monsters that I sent.

I made both of them using the material from a thrifted pair of flannel-lined denim jeans.

Front view:

Back view:

The Scottish one has a tam made of felt, and the "green" one has patches from a t-shirt altering kit. So much fun to make!

Those recycled denim monsters are so cute! I also love the one named Trini with her cute outfit.
But of course, I love my new monster the best!
Here he is in all his circus glory!

I put circus as one of my themes, since I thought it would be fun, and look what jo_mama made for me!
I give you...Lion Tamer Monster!

Isn't he so cute! I can't believe she made him in less than a week! He is so detailed - with his matching hat and jacket, and his whip!

I also love his little lion!

I love the soft blue fabric they are made out of.  Thank you jo_mama! He's incredible! I might take you up on that offer of making more of the circus theme if I can figure out anything I could personal swap you for.
