Anthropologie has such cute necklaces, but this girl can not (and will not!) pay that much money for a necklace. Mother taught me better!

I made my own necklace, inspired by the Anthropologie pendant (above) with just some beads and wire. All it really took, was wrapping the wire around - with the help of some needle nose pliers.

When put side by side with the original necklace - it doesn't look as similar, but as a stand alone pendant, it really does look great!

If you want to see my other DIY Anthropologie necklace on Craftster, go here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=384669.0

I really like this. It might not be an exact replica but I like that's it's a little chunkier and more substantial than the anthropologie one. I love their stuff, but you're right - it's WAY too expensive. Anthropologie is the number one reason why I want to learn to draft my own patterns Tongue

So pretty! I like it a little bit better than the original, too.

I like that the colours you chose are more vibrant than the original..I would never spend $118 on a necklace :|

I agree with my fellow craftsters, great job and a great alternative to $118!

It's kinda gross someone would spend so much money on that anthropologie necklace LOL why pay so much for something that looks so... smashable?

Yours looks great, more bold than the original. you should go rogue and hide little how-to tutorials (how to... not get ripped off) in actual anthropologie stores Tongue
